Heather Nova's acoustic tour 2009 starts today! It is called "A Special Acoustic Evening", Heather will be accompanied by Arnulf Lindner. Also, the winners of the "Paper Cup Contest" will be on stage! Enjoy it!

According to Heather Nova, all the shows on her upcoming special acoustic tour (October 24 - November 15) will be recorded, and the recordings will be available to buy as high quality mp3 files the day after each gig from her website heathernova.com.

According to Heather Nova, she is currently gearing up for her European tour in October and November. It’s billed as "A special acoustic evening", and special is what Heather is working on. She says it won't be a folky thing, she hopes it to be more post modern.

Arnulf Lindner from Austria, who already played together with Heather on her summer tour, plays a plethora of instruments, so Heather hopes that she and Arnulf will be creating a lot of textures and feels, and many of the songs will take on new incarnations.

Heather is holding a competition - At each show on Heather's upcoming European tour, a fan will have the opportunity to get up onstage and accompany Heather on one of her songs.

All you have to do is video yourself playing your instrument along to Heather's classic song 'Paper Cup'. Be sure to make the most of that solo!

Post the video on youtube under the title "heather nova paper cup contest" along with your email address and a note saying which town/concert you will be attending.

Heather will choose the best musicians and the lucky winners will attend soundcheck and perform the song with Heather during the gig.

On August 17th, 2009 Heather will give a concert in the Paradiso of Amsterdam. Tickets for this concert will be available starting April 11th 2009.
The date is not officially confirmed yet.

As officially announced Heather will play at the Frequency festival (August 20-22, 2009) in St. Poelten, Austria (about 30 min from Vienna). So far no fixed date was announced, but as she will play in Rottweil on August 22nd, it must be on August 20th or 21st.

As soon as we know the exact date, we will inform you.

Please note: former Frequency Festivals took place near Salzburg. But in 2009, the Frequency Festival will move to St. Poelten.

According to Target Concerts, Heather Nova plays on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at the "Kraftwerk" in Rottweil, Germany. Rottweil is located in south-west Germany, between the Black Forest and the Lake Constance.

Tickets are not available so far.

It was amazing. Heather performed on acoustic guitar and was accompanied by Bastian Juel who played bass and piano. Lenny Kaye also made a special appearance to accompany Everytime on guitars. It was the first Heather Nova concert in USA since almost seven years.

Heather Nova will be performing her first public concert in the United States in a decade on March 9th, 2009, when she will appear at Joe's Pub in New York City. This will be an acoustic performance. The concert is confirmed on www.heathernova.com.

The setlist was pretty much the same as at the concerts of the European Tour in October 2008. It was the first time after the Millennium Concert 2000 that Heather played with a complete band in Bermuda. Heather Nova was accompanied by Berit Fridahl (lead guitar), Bastian Juel (bass) and Geoff Dugmore (drums and percussions). Additionally Dr. Larry Trott, a friend of Heather played percussion on "Not Only Human" and "Renegade".

According to eventim.de and zeltfestivalruhr.de, Heather Nova plays on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at 8pm at the "Zeltfestival" in Bochum, Germany. The Zeltfestival is a 17-day-festival with music and comedian artists each day. Bochum is located in the Ruhr area.

Tickets can already be bought on German online seller eventim.de, for 35.24 Euros! The date is not yet confirmed by Heather's management.

Tickets for the upcoming Heather Nova concerts on January 30 and January 31, 2009 at the Mid-Ocean Amphitheatre, Fairmont Southampton Hotel, Southampton on Bermuda are available now! Hurry up to get your tickets. It is a very small venue and already half of the tickets are sold! Don't be too late!

According to the webpages of the Bermudian newspaper The Royal Gazette and of the Bermuda Festival, Heather Nova plays two concerts on Friday, January 30th, 2009 and Saturday, January 31st, 2009. Both concerts start at 8pm local time at Fairmont, Southampton, Bermuda and will be a full "90-minute-set".

The concerts will be part of the "Bermuda Festival" with lots of music and perfoming arts, ranging from music over dance, theatre, to mime artists, from Bermuda and international, taking place in January and February 2009. Also, in 2009, Bermuda will celebrate the 400th anniversary of its settlement. Tickets for the Bermuda Festival (adults $60, students $25, for most performances) will go on sale Monday, November 10 on the organisation's website: Bermuda Festival.

The upcoming Heather Nova concert in Amsterdam on October 26th 2008 is already sold out! Hurry up to get your tickets for the two remaining shows in the Netherlands. Tickets for the concerts in Eindhoven and Groningen are still available.
