I wanted to let you know that Felix and I have a radio show on David Lynch's Transcendental Radio station. Our show is called "Get Out of Your Head"... and we play our favourite records and interview artists on how they get into their creative flow. Please tune in sometime. It's free of course, but the great thing is that in listening to the station you are supporting The David Lynch Foundation which is teaching meditation in schools and to at-risk social groups across America with an aim to decrease violence. Here is a new find, a collaboration by UK indie band "The Recovery Position" and Heather Nova.

The singer Ocean Reid writes about this song: the collaboration song 'Call' will be released as part of the forthcoming 'Recovery Position' album campaign. There are 2 versions. One version is myself and Heather as an acoustic track and the other is the full band and Heather.

Heather Nova has announced on Facebook that she will play at the Belgian Boombalfestival 2013 in Lovendegem (near Ghent). The festival will take place from August 22 till August 25, 2013. According to the program, Heather will play August 24, 2013.

On February 26, 2013, the new single "Save A Little Piece Of Tomorrow" was released on iTunes USA and iTunes Canada. The song is an edited version, compared to the song on her latest album "300 Days At Sea". There are no bonus tracks.

On November 21st, 2012, Heather Nova's recent album "300 Days At Sea" will be released in Japan on label "Daiki Sound". It will contain the bonus songs "Precious Thing" (was on the European deluxe version, and a download on iTunes in some countries) and "You're A Rainbow" (was an Amazon download in some countries, first time released here on CD). This is the first Heather Nova record in Japan since her 2001 album "South".

On September 21, 2012, the John Lennon tribute concert in Bermuda took place. Here you can watch two videos from Heather Nova's live performances at this concert: "Norwegian Wood" and "Because". Also on September 21, 2012, the double CD with her studio version of "Norwegian Wood" was released. You can order it here: Double Fantasy Bermuda Shop.

Then on September 25, 2012, the US/Canadian version of her album "300 Days At Sea" was released. You can order it at many online stores. It contains the same 12 tracks as on the European version, unfortunately with no bonus material.

On November 23, 2012, Heather Nova will play at the Bermuda National Gallery in Bermuda for "The Art of Music Series Reinterpreting the Biennial Exhibition". More information here: Bermuda National Gallery.

According to some online shops, Heather Nova's album "300 Days At Sea" will finally be released in US on September 25, 2012 on the "Entertainment One" label.

You can pre-order this item already for example on Amazon USA, Amazon Canada and Barnes And Noble. It will be Heather Nova's first album release in North America since South, ten years ago.

Also a Higher Ground promo single went to radio stations there on August 13, 2012, mentioning the album's release date on September 25, 2012.

In Europe, 300 Days At Sea is available since May/June 2011.

The John Lennon tribute concert will take place on September 21, 2012 at Bermuda's Botanical Garden. Heather Nova is one of the artists to participate at this tribute concert. Also on the same day, the John Lennon tribute CD will be released, including Heather Nova's cover of John Lennon's "Norwegian Wood".

Heather Nova's cover of John Lennon's "Norwegian Wood" premiered February 18, 2012 on the "BBC Radio Merseyside" show "On the best". The song will be also on a John Lennon tribute album, to be released June 21, 2012.

You can listen to the BBC show on the John Lennon tribute album website. Right at the bottom there is the player.

The 38 minutes broadcast contains the song (at the beginning) and an interview with Bermudian Tony Brennan, the executive producer, about the John Lennon tribute album and about John Lennon itself.

Heather Nova will play July 21, 2012 at the Acoustic Lakeside Festival, Sonnegger See, Austria.

The venue is approximately 30km away from Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, not far from the Slovenian border.

The German TV station WDR will show Heather Nova at "Rockpalast: Rolling Stone Weekender" in the night from Saturday, December 3rd, to Sunday, December 4th, between 0:25am and 3:25am.

Like last year, Heather Nova stopped on her fall tour 2011 in hospitals, mostly in departements of psychiatry and psychotherapy, by giving free acoustic concerts (with Arnulf Lindner on cello) for the patients. These concerts weren't available for public.

In an "OpenMag" interview in 2007, Heather stated: "i have always had the idea to bring music into hospitals. they are supposedly places of healing, but i don't feel the energy of healing when i go into a hospital, in fact i feel small and fearful. healing takes place on many levels, physical yes, but also emotional and spiritual. i think music could help with the latter two."

Together with Thomas Hahn from the "Agency for social artists", who has already organized the hospital concerts last year, this idea could be fulfilled again.

"this is a project i have been thinking about for some time. i call it "living music" and my idea was to bring live music to those who are too ill to go to a concert. i feel that hospitals are places where people go to get well, but that often some of the elements needed to FEEL well on all levels are missing in hospitals. it is my feeling that music can relax and stimulate the senses and emotions in a way that is beneficial to the whole being and therefore it can play a part in the overall healing and wellbeing of a patient, even if it is in a small way.
but even if all it does is give pleasure to someone and allow them half an hour of enjoyment and a break from the stress of their situation, that is enough too.
so when i am on tour i stop in at hospitals in some of the cities i am playing, and give informal acoustic gigs to those who want to listen. it is all done on a volunteer basis, no fees involved, in the spirit of a simple sharing of music. "

Note: all concerts are not confirmed so far. It isn't official yet that she actually is support for Bryan Adams on all his concert days, but she said so.
