i've got some good news - I have just spent the last couple of months recording my new album. it's a full band album and we did it at home with solar power and lots of dips in the ocean in between takes, as it was 85 degrees with 100 percent humidity! sounding great though it's not mixed yet. i will keep you posted as to release dates etc.

All the October concerts will be my "Special Acoustic evening", as I enjoyed it so much last year (and it seemed you did too!) and was asked to come back and play some different cities this time. the multi talented Arnulf Lindner will be joining me again onstage, and i am excited to have 2 very promising Bermudian artists opening for me - Taylor Rankin on the first half of the tour, and Joy T Barnum on the second half. they are both dynamic and original artists that i am sure you will enjoy. i will be playing old and new songs, including some sneak previews from the upcoming album.

All the shows will be recorded and for sale online the next day as high-quality .mp3 files so you can have a souvenir of the show . (You can pay for the mp3 on the night of the show if you don't do Paypal)

News update:

- Heather did recently some photo shooting with Sacha Blackburne, who already did the artwork for Heather's last album The Jasmine Flower.

- The October concerts will be recorded and documented by videographer Alia Hamza.

- During the first half of the October tour, local Bermudian Taylor Rankin will be the opening act. He opened already for Heather in Copenhagen 2009, and they did "I Miss My Sky" together there. During the second half of the October tour, local Bermudians Joy T. Barnum and Michael McPhee (from "The Channel") will open for Heather.

Heather Nova has played this week-end in Haldern, at Bospop Festival, and at Festival de Liege, with full band. While the Haldern concert was at normal length, both festival gigs had shorter festival length.

Haldern saw the world premiere of three new Heather songs: Save A Little Piece Of Tomorrow, Turn The Compass Round, and Everything Changes. At Bospop and in Liege, from the new songs only Save A Little Piece Of Tomorrow was on the setlist. Of course, her older hit songs were also played.

Heather has noticed that the weather was hotter than in Bermuda...

- Heather has celebrated her birthday in London at rehearsals. We wish Heather a great year, with fall tour and album plans.

On Twitter, Heather has mentioned that she is currently recording songs for her new album. She is very happy with her songs. David Ayers has added beautiful, rocking, sliding, sparkling guitars to it and the album is a full-on full band thing this time...

Haldern is located close to The Netherlands. Please note this is NOT the Haldern Pop Festival! The concert takes place in a tent right in the small village at Lindendorfplatz (at 51.7765N, 6.4565E).

Another concert of Heather Nova's "A Special Acoustic Evening" tour in 2010 appears on our radar. Heather Nova will perform in the Theater Heerlen (Parkstad Limburg Theaters) in Heerlen (The Netherlands) on October 8th, 2010. It is close to the German border, near Aachen (Germany).

Tickets go on sale via Internet on May 20th, 2010.

Heather Nova performed on Saturday, January 2, 2010, at the celebration party for the 7th anniversary of the Chewstick Foundation in Bermuda. She played Ride, Heart And Shoulder, and Walk This World. The Chewstick movement is an open-mic jam session born out of Bermuda in 2002, dedicated to breaking down social barriers, providing opportunities for storytellers of every medium, and raising funds for after-school, prison outreach, cultural arts and community programs.

In 2009 we had even more Websites visits than ever before. From January 2005 to end of 2008 we counted 1.900.000 visits. Now we reached 5.360.960 visits today, which means about 3.460.000 visits just in year 2009! One reason for this increase of course are the two European Heather Nova tours in August and in fall this year. Not to forget the shows in Bermuda and New York early this year.

Another and very important reason is, that Heather Nova and her husband Felix took over the management tasks. This enables faster news and more direct contact to the fans. Following this strategy, heathernova.net, the biggest international Heather Nova fan forum became the official Heather Nova forums in September 2009! Thanks to Heather and Felix!
