Such lists are always difficult for me because I never know if I should only list music released in that year or bought (by me) in that year, even if released earlier. And albums aren't released all over the world at the same time, too. Also I haven't still listened yet to all music I have bought in the last weeks...
But my album of the year is (so far) ... And Other Tales - Rebecca de Winter (an UK local artist) And the second place goes to Mother - Pilöt (some French group)

To me, i think it's the last Anna Ternheim Album - The Night Visitor.
Much better than the previous one, to my mind.

Personally my favourite album of 2011 was 'An Endless Sky of Honey by Kate Bush. I've listened to it a lot while walking along the shoreline at the Baltic Sea.
Apart from that I liked: Adele - 21. Anna Ternheim - The Night Visitor. Heather Nova - 300 Days at Sea.
