This thread is for planning this special concert, meeting the fans, making arrangements for driving, sharing hotel information, sharing your comments, your concert impressions, well everything about this event.

The tickets go on sale on April 17, 9am, at ticketweb.co.uk. Supporting band: Scarce

If you book ahead of time,round-trip on the Eurostar can be a great deal

That would take to much time. If I can go, I would need a flight from Frankfurt early in the morning on october 13th, flying back the next day. And the day after a long drive to Hamburg to the next gig ... well, the usual tour stress of a fan doing a complete tour!

This is the kind of stress I find exciting and invigorating.
I'll try to take a few pics for those who can't go...

Look at this:

Monday
Frankfurt dep 07:28 ICE
Brussels arr 11:01
Brussels dep 11:59 Eurostar
London arr 13:03 (one hour back to Central Europe)

Tuesday
London dep 14:34 Eurostar
Brussels arr 17:33
Brussels dep 17:59 ICE
Frankfurt arr 21:30

158.00 Euro in total ("London-Spezial fare", number of tickets is limited [but this should be no problem], use of selected train is required, refund excluded!, can be booked likely from July on)

And you are relaxed and you can go to Hamburg the next day.

Is this seated or not, will this be likely quickly sold-out?

Oh well, another possibility:

Just buy a one-way ticket to London, and from London on, simply take the tour bus!

Tickets are on sale now at ticketweb.co.uk.

You can choose between:
19.50 GBP - Stalls standing and
19.50 GBP - Level 1 unreserved seating / standing

I guess "stalls standing" is closer to the stage, right?

Shipping worldwide 2.25 GBP.

Up to eight tickets each order.

As Heather Now plays in Brussels right after London, it sounds quite a good idea to drive with the car to Brussels, taking the Eurostar and then return to Brussels and continue Hamburg and Berlin by car.
Is there a train arriving earlier in Brussels, just to be save for the concert? How much would be a roundtrip from Brussels?

Maybe a roundtrip flight Brussels to London is the best.
Anyway, these tour dates and locations are again quite a challenge if you have to drive your own.

@Gerd: sure, there are earlier Eurostar connections from London to Brussels.

Monday October 13
Brussels dep 6:35 - London arr 7:55
Brussels dep 7:41 - London arr 8:56
Brussels dep 8:35 - London arr 10:03
Brussels dep 11:35 - London arr 13:03
Brussels dep 14:35 - London arr 15:56
Brussels dep 15:41 - London arr 17:03

Tuesday October 14
London dep 6:00 - Brussels arr 9:14
London dep 7:00 - Brussels arr 10:21
London dep 8:05 - Brussels arr 11:14
London dep 10:00 - Brussels arr 13:21

(Please note the time difference, as London is one hour earlier!)

You can book Eurostar tickets at eurostar.com or at every DB counter (not at the vending machines, you have to stay in the line there and speak with a human...). Unfortunately you cannot buy them now, you can buy them three months in advance only. This means, the tickets can be bought likely from July on.

The single ride Brussels - London or London - Brussels are very expensive, more than 200 Euros!

BUT: A round trip Brussels - London - Brussels costs approx. 80 Euros ("saver" price, no refund and such, only valid in the selected trains, worthless in other trains, number of tickets is limited, so buy early!).

For example, the round trip
Monday July 21 Brussels dep 8:59 - London arr 10:03
Tuesday July 22 London dep 8:05 - Brussels arr 10:56
costs 80 Euros (standard, non flexible, non-exchangeable, non-refundable) right now. It possible that it costs 120 Euros in peak times.

Also important: using the Eurostar is like flying. Be there 30 minutes earlier to check-in. The security is very strict, it's like on an airport, with X-raying your luggage, and such. The only difference is that there is no airplane, but a train. You cannot arrive two minutes before the train starts and get in, like on "normal" trains. So if you take, for example, the 8:05 train from London to Brussels, be there at 7:30 already.

I didn't know it is that fast. It seems an even better solution than a flight. Any luggage limitations? Cameras maybe? How much luggage is allowed?

http://www.eurostar.com/UK/x_euro/lei ... onditions_of_carriage.jsp

38. Permitted Quantity of Luggage

You may take with you without charge when you travel on our trains up to 2 large suitcases or rucksacks plus one small piece of hand luggage (handbag, small rucksack, folding baby's buggy etc.), provided you can easily carry such articles. If you wish to take any items you cannot easily carry and/or additional items we may, at our discretion, either levy a charge in respect of such items or require you to pay to send them through our registered luggage service.

39. Prohibited and Controlled Luggage

You may not take with you as accompanied luggage on Eurostar trains:

39.1 articles subject to prohibition and restriction and included in Appendix 1;

39.2 articles being carried for or on behalf of a third party for commercial gain;

39.3 articles for which we would otherwise make a separate charge;

39.4 articles which are forbidden by Customs authorities or other government agencies;

39.5 bicycles or other items that are large or have sharp edges, which would constitute a safety hazard to other passengers on stations or within the passenger carriage; and/or

39.6 alcoholic beverages in excess of limits which we advertise and/or designate for any period. We may confiscate and destroy any such alcoholic beverages carried during such period.

40. Labelling of Luggage

All your luggage must be clearly labelled with your name, seat number and destination station. Conflicting labels should be removed or obliterated. The luggage must remain under your close control throughout the journey and be available for inspection by the security and border control authorities at all times.

Hi All

I bought my tickets this morning and am already axcited about seeing Heather perform again.

Stall standing tickets are in front of the stage. I've gone for seats as being 5'4", I tend to end up having my view obscured when standing. You generally get a pretty good view at the Shepherds Bush Empire anyway, wherever you are.

If it's anything like Heather's last gig there, the first time I had seen her live, it'll be a great show.

Sparky

I'd bought a ticket for upstairs before seeing this thread. Generally, at big-venue gigs, if I try standing near the front I just get crowded out by blokes who are invariably much taller than me. It's always the really tall guy who stands right in front of me: I think they do it deliberately.
So I figured I'd at least have the chance of a decent view upstairs. Then again, I wasn't thinking that there'd be some of you guys coming along too...

I ordered the Brussels ticket at the very same day, and have this already since a few days.

On the Shepherds Bush Empire website you can read:

Heather Nova
MONDAY 13TH OCTOBER

The Bermudian songstress is currently working on a new album and heads to the UK this October to showcase new material as well as classic tracks.

It looks like we will listen to new songs before the album comes out!

Not "we".

Only the people who got a ticket, of course.

My ticket arrived today as well.

Gerd, can you give me information about the hotel situation in London? I have seen that Shephard's Bush is far away from the city... ok, there is the metro.

There is a very expensive hostel 200m away but the nearest you can get and I prefer still as you are independent from the metro. A more comfortable and cheaper one is north of Hide Park as well as a cheap hotel. A Internet connection nearby. have to look for the names.
