Just a topic to show my latest Heather related item I bought yesterday. :

A Fender Telecaster HMT, made in Japan 1991. Ofcourse I would have prefered a black one, but for the sound it would not make a difference

The only thing is, that I have to learn to play guitar. That's just a minor detail

Perhaps you will even be able to build a Red House over yonder...

Did Heather sell it on Ebay ?

I'd love to buy a semi-acoustic guitar, I saw one in a secondhand store, it was very sexy.

Na, Heather didn't sell. I doubt she would ever do.
An original guitar is something i would so much love to have. It would cost a lot on ebay, I guarantee!

Did you miss it?

No, it's just that Heather played the same type. That is why i mentioned a black one. Altough the one Heather has is repainted in gold.

Most information I read on this website
http://www.tdpri.com/forum/telecaster ... mt-telecaster-owners.html

and see the photo's on the article at heathernova.de
http://www.heathernova.de/content/storys/gitarren/gitarren.htm

You can see at the head of the guitar there is something written behind "Fender". That is the HMT logo.

and more information
http://www.jpstingrayguitars.com/FENDER%20PAGE%202.html

As far as I can find on the web, all thineline Telecasters of the early nineties were made in Japan.

I noticed now that HMT means Heavy Metal Telecasters.

Could it be that Heather bought it in Japan on a short tour?

That could be possible but made in Japan does not mean that they were only sold in Japan. I see messages of owners over the whole world.

One of my finest sounding guitars is the 92' Telecaster. It was American made. It is not like Heathers (Semi-acoustic) No "F" sound hole. Very clean. I have seen plenty of American made semi-acoustics in the 90's. I don't think they are a Japan only production.

On a different note Martin, Estelle has put a lot of hard work into the Guitar Tab section of this site. It is a GREAT place to learn some of your favorite Heather Nova songs. It is the best collection of Heather songs you will find on the internet. Good luck with your learning of the six strings. Feel free to message me if you ever want to talk guitar. I spend most of my free time playing. (22 years now). Peace

If I could get a black Telecaster, like Heather's was, I most likely would buy it.
Of course I would buy her now golden guitar as well.

Thank you for your offer and I am really looking forward to play Heather's songs.

@Gerd: I know another red Telecaster HMT for sale. (and a can of black paint ) Make it just like the VanHalen frankenstein edition in every scratch and detail a replica

I am not going to paint mine though.
