A new concert is added.

I ordered 3 tickets, 1 for me and 2 for other people that might be interested (Didier, Gerd....).

Buying online at the site of Vooruit (http://www.vooruit.be) shouldn't be a problem, but you need to register first.

I have 3 tickets for the front row (row A5). Or maybe it's the 5th row, I have no clue.

Gerd, maybe it's better if you book a hotel in Belgium for 14 days.

I think she's going to spend her holidays in Belgium, like she said on the Antwerp gig.

If you have a visa account and internet at home, it shouldn't be too hard to order a ticket online at www.vooruit.be.

And there has no publicity been made, so the next few days you can still order tickets for good seats.

Well, Brussels is the capital of Europe, remember.

And all Belgian gigs are in the northern Flemish part of Belgium !

I think it's strange she does 5 gigs in 2 weeks time in a region of 150 x 100 km ! I wonder how many people will come to these shows ! But you won't hear me complaining.

Comparison:

Belgium has approx. 12,000 square miles, that is like Maryland (land + water).

It has a bit more inhabitants than Michigan (10 millions).

It's very strange, but people living in Ostend (near the sea) are not very likely to go and see a concert in Tongeren or Leuven, because it's too far (> 100 km).

That's probably why she does so many gigs here.

Just think of dhe first two day of the tour. From Zurich to Antwerp is about 700 km. Well I did Wiesbaden-Kiel on the recent tour with 600 km. So just one hour more

My friend and colleague, Kurt, who is going to the Leuven gig as well, is probably going to Ghent too (with a date).

He just phoned me. A female friend of his is going to the Ghent gig and now he is considering of going too. He asked me if I could arrange it that he would be able to sit next to her. I said it's not very likely that after a week there is still a seat free next to that girl.

(I guess the Ghent sales are going pretty fast and the concert is nearly sold out).

Herr Ticketmeister didn't solve this problem.

I'm not going to order 2 new tickets for him and his date, as it's not very likely that he will be going. I know what he's like, very 'greedy'(geizig in German). He's a nice bloke, but I don't like that part of his personality.

He's going to the Leuven gig too, but he hasn't paid me yet, he's still 'keeping all options open'.

I know what this means. The week before the Leuven gig he will say 'Ok, Johan, I'll go to that gig, you can't sell your ticket to someone else anymore, but I'd like it at half price'.

Last year we went to see Lunascape twice, but for free. He only wanted to go if I was able to get free tickets.

The Fnac tickets for this gig are sold out, but the venue itself still sells tickets, but I don't know for how long.

The day after the Ghent gig, I have the early shift.

I don't know why, but it changed.

That's going to be fun : getting in bed at 1 am and getting up at 04.30 am !

I've made an angry phonecall to work and now I have the late shift (as a reserve), so I don't have to get out at 04.30 after the Ghent gig.

So I'll still be able to hang out with you guys after the gig.

Just before the Gent gig, I have to go and eat at a friend's place. He's coming to the gig too, so we'll hurry.

And I was already on the stage

The tour bus arrived meanwhile but there is a parking problem. Two cars are parking on the reserved parking place for the bus

The venue is nice. I alredy checked my seat place. If possible I will mqke proffessional pics from there as the distance between the front row and the stage is very small.

I just returned from the Ghent gig.

Pretty much the same songs as yesterday obviously, but Heather was in a better mood, her voice was better and the sound was better (not that it was bad yesterday).

Instead of Water from wine, she played Grow Young 'for a friend who's got his birthday today'(Massimo) and New Love instead of These Walls. You don't hear me complaining !!!


Same bunch of Novaboarders as yesterday, apart from Geert. I got to meet Moerie (Peter) too.

I had dinner at a friends' place (Steven). He had cooked me a nice veggie meal with 3 courses, although he was ill. He also gave me a rarities cd by the Editors !

The poem was the same as in Zurich: the bad blood and the rose

I updated the news with the Ghent gig. Please look at it, since I wasn't there, and correct me, if necessary.

Gerd is right about the poem (I don't know all poems by heart, contrary to the songs).


I haven't heard Grow Young a lot live (maybe 2 times ?), but it's one of my favourites, so I was very happy !
