I'm thrilled to announce that I'm going into the studio today to begin recording the songs for my new album ‘Pearl', which is due to come out in Spring 2019! I’m so excited to get in there with a fantastic selection of musicians to bring all my new songs to life. Can’t wait to share them with you!!

What's an "instagram story"?

Is there a release date?

Instagram stories are posts on instagram that only lasted like a day and you have to be logged in to see them. I don't have an account so never do, but most things on Instagram are stories these days.

85 euros for a lyric book? Is there something special there or just a very small print run?

I guess this is basically like Pledge but doing it on her own site to avoid overhead, which makes sense.

I love the album name.
I'm less fond of Heather's pic ; well, there's something in the hair or in the make up that seems a bit weird to me (the rest is ok).

The pic with the guitar and the jeans is fine. It sounds quite rock (still, the last "rock" album Heather announced was 300 Days, who was clearly much more pop than rock, so, we'll see).

The font in which "Pearl" is written looks very similar to the one in Oyster. It's different, though. In "Pearl" the "a" is a capital letter, while in Oyster it is always a lower case letter (she song titles).

Also the cover photo is similar, the arms, the bracelet, the strapless dress.

I think the album name is perfect. I love that the new album will be arranged in a mixture of Oyster and Siren, rock and smooth songs.
It is obvious that a new album needs a presenting and an album tour!

Finally the one-word album titles are back!

I wonder whether there are any songs on "Pearl" we know already from her recent tours. In 2018, she played "After All This Time", "The Wounds We Bled", "Your Words", and "Rose Gold". In 2017, she played "Just Kids" ("I Like The Way"). Together with Mishka, she sung "Downstream" ("The River") in 2017.

Midori Jaeger is doing the cello and Geoff Dugmore the drums!

Midori was live musician with Heather in 2017.

Geoff did drums on most of Siren and 300 Days At Sea, also he was live musician with Heather from 2008-2011.

I’m going to preorder the cd even if it’s likely to be cheaper in general sale come May but happy to do a bit to support this project. Is that the final Tshirt design? Might just do a cd/tshirt combo.

Just recording doesn't make an album as I understood. Four month left to make the final album according to the desired release date, currently expected mid of May 2019.

Sure, Heather said it still needs to get mixed, mastered, manufactured...

I haven't noticed it before, but the lyric notebook may have a different cover than the album cover:

Hey everyone, I've been away from the forum for awhile, but I'm back and I'm SO EXCITED for Pearl!!! I think the cover photo is great. Heather looks awesome (as always).

I'm trying to access the pre-order website that gerd posted in the #1 post on this thread (https://HeatherNova.lnk.to/PreorderPearlEM) but for some reason I'm getting an error message and can't access it. I keep getting this:

"This page isn’t working heathernova.merchcowboy.com is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500"

Am I the only one having this problem, or did I just have the misfortune of trying to access the site during a brief shut-down? I hope this is a temporary problem! I guess I have until the middle of May - but it looks like certain things are getting sold out, so I hope it's resolved soon!

I just tried to access the website one minute ago and it worked! Maybe the shutdown is only in the US?

I guess that's possible . . . I just tried it again (3 times) after seeing your reply Bernd, and I'm still getting the same error message.

Maybe delete your browser cache and/or cookies and try again? Also try with a different browser?

Well, I tried again this morning when I woke up and I was able to access the site and I placed my order, so it was apparently just a temporary problem. YAY!!!

I ordered the signed/dedicated CD, the digital demos, and the "name in the credits, signed and dedicated vinyl." I think I might have gotten the last "name in the credits, signed and dedicated vinyl" because it appears they were only making it available to 50 people and it now appears to be sold out. Looks like I made it just in the nick of time!

Now I have to take out a second mortgage to pay for all of these things . . .

Any clue why the photobook and the lyric notebook disappeared on the merchcowboy site? Normally, it's 41 items, now it's only 39 items.
