Kim Shattuck covers Kim Deal.
This is so great, I could listen to this 24h a day.
Actually I do, since summer!

But The Muffs original songs are also fantastic:

How could I miss this for 25 years?!
This is SUPER fun!!!!

Very nice songs with a Scottish folk touch! Wild Mountain Thyme sounds quite familiar to me.

Well, it would fit, as Heather has Scottish roots, hasn't she? I think, the dedication in the "Glowstars" booklet was partly for her Granny (Dorothy Bell Maclaren)!?

That's correct!

"My mother's family is originally from Scotland, they're called the McLarens, and my husband, Felix, is Scottish as well, although his family no longer live north of the Border"

Still Corners - The Last Exit.
New album, just released yesterday.

Waiting for the music in the letterbox....doorbell as the LP won't fit.

Below the three singles that were taken so far.

Title song The Last Exit in a Lynchian atmosphere.
White Sands (bottom) is a high energy favorite.

Other album favorites so far: "Static" and "It's Voodoo"

Crying

White Sands

Can't help, the 90's were my decade...
Not 90's chart music, but definitely 90's female-made indie.
(Some 90's female-made indie songs were very successful, though.)
From all things in the world, this is what I love most.
Songs like Feed The Tree or Victrola are pure happiness for me.
My heart explodes when listening to this.
I cried yesterday as I listened to both songs.
Me, 20 years young back then.
46 years old now.
Even today these songs still grow in me. I love them more than ever.
In case there is a heaven for me, it's full of this music,
combined with hand-selected similar songs from other decades as well.
I don't need anything else there.
Now listening to all the songs I posted yesterday and crying at ALL songs...

Itís so great, when people talk so enthusiastic about music, like you did, Bernd. Thatís kind of similar what my favourite music does to me.

Iíve always loved Hawkinsí "Right beside you" and "Hello" and "Stay" by the Shakespears Sister, but "I donít care" is great as well!
Iím still fond of the good old 80s, that makes me nostalgic... I love watching this 80ís show on Deluxe music tv. There used to be a 90ís show there as well, but since a few months unfortunately not anymore.

Lately, iíve been listening to all Tori Amos cds in reverse order. Iím still touched by her earlier songs and love them, but I still canít find any approach to her albums since "Abnormally attracted to sin". Really strange, like it was two separate artists making that music.

I feel the same about Tori Amos, but her last good album for me wasn't "Abnormally Attracted to Sin" (2009), it was "From the Choirgirl Hotel" (1998)... so I made your experience as well, just ten years earlier...

There are very good songs in the 80's as well. Cyndi Lauper, Kate Bush, Tanita Tikaram, Tracy Chapman, Sam Brown's "Stop", Enya's "Orinoco Flow"...

After a long time:
Alanis Morissette - Supposed former infatuation junkie (finding, that I still like it very, very much)
and
Tracy Chapman - Telling stories (some really excellent songs on it)
