Oh well, it is of course nice to get the songs, but it is CD-R without a booklet, no lyrics so far, just the songs, well officially so. A bit unromantic. Well I am not complaining.

Consider that you can enjoy in three weeks the full power of facing a complete CD with booklet/art cover and then to listen to it while reading in the CD booklet. That sounds much more romantic, then getting everything step by step, just the songs first, then the artwork, and maybe lyrics later.

All I want to say is, don't become any jealous. In three weeks you can have all together in the same moment.

Maybe to you.

I remember the release of the 1998 Tori Amos album "From The Choirgirl Hotel". The lyrics were all known weeks before the album was out. I thought lots about fitting melodies. Of course, the melodies Tori Amos has chosen had been totally different to my suggestions!

Mary Hampton - My Mother's Children.
Falls into the increasingly popular vicinity of Joanna Newsom... slightly spooked, very backwoods but modern folk. And no bad thing too. Interesting instrumental arrangements and a fragile but articulate voice.
I have also been listening to rainshowers, conversations and the odd grandfather clock using a portable sound recorder so, lots of attention to first-hand sonics... I waited patiently for a whole 57 minutes to record the clock chime

Phos - a rare album by a Greek band called Socrates featuring, on this album, Vangelis [Chariots of Fire] Papathanassiou. Vangelis is my all-time favourite modern composer so it's a rare treat to find something of his I haven't come across before.

Tiesto. Reason being, awhile back I met this totally gorgeous Polish architecture student who was a fan of said DJ so I went out and bought myself something of his. It's quite good. I've got into the music of lots of countries this way... even if the artist is a bloke. I can imagine the pretty face I, personally, associate with it.
