I wasn't sure if people here were interested in uplifting/happy songs as well, as most songs not posted by me in this thread are mostly not very uplifting/happy.

Haven't ever been captured by Liz Phair. But I like the three songs! This slow sang song "Ant in Alaska" with a little fragile voice reminds me of Mazzy Star (Hope Sandoval), I still love to listen too.

Attention: she often mixes the sweetiest melodies with the dirtiest words. Some songs are definitely 18+. I like that contrast very much! In the early 90's, she was lo-fi indie, now she is more pop, but still good, her recent album is from June. Her main debut "Exile In Guyville" (1993) is a must, in my opinion. Plus, she has a song called "Supernova"! She has probably not the best singing voice, but who cares, it is still very unique and fits perfectly to her music. Too bad I have never seen her live so far. I didn't knew about these demo songs from the early 90's until a few days ago. "Ant In Alaska" is one of my favourite songs from her.
