Unbelievable: I've wanted to post a review for the "Golden Ghosts" single on Amazon.de as well and they don't let me do that either. Obviously you must have purchased items worth 50 Euros or more within one year and I was just within that time limit, when I wrote the last review, but not this time.
I avoid buying on Amazon as much as possible for me (without a credit card) anyway and now I know another time why...

I guess next step is having my musician back after his music school is finished (soon) and record something with both of us, so the whole thing doesn't sound as "just a demo-tape".

I'm proud to have at last something out (sold digitally, but the real disc are not in stores and stuff). The sinsin is detent, the songs are good, and I think lyrics are the highlight of it (at leaast in French). nut now, let's be honest : There is a littledefault on two tracks (I nearly screwed up a word in the lyrics at the end of track 3 and tracck 4), I hae not studied graphism (the CD-cover is not well centered), so there's small default aht of course don't prevent anyone to listen and like the music, but I have to be absolutely professional next time, if I want to climb one or two steps higher (which I intend).

Your support is precious, because it's so nice and agreeable to me, but also because it's a kind of proof that I exist as an artist, which is very important (today, to hire you to a show in their bars or concert rooms, owners don't listen to your music at first ; they begin by looking on the Internet, if people speak about you, if you have followers on Facebook and so....).

By the way, to support artists affected by Covid-19, Bandcamp is waving his revenue shares this Friday, from midnight to midnight, Pacific time.

If you're interested in buying music there (not necessary me ); tomorrow is the time.

Bandcamp is quite an ethic platform, the only one (with Soudcloud, but Soundcloud is a streaming platform) where artists don't have to pay to put their song online to sell them.

I had a radio interview via the phone for a local radio the day before yesterday with a crew that is just getting started.

It was nice, and in a way it was cute, because it was so obvious they were pure beginners.
Well, they are very nice, and it's such a good idea to let unknown local dudes like me find their way and the radio and get a chance to meet their public. We had a good time.
It will be aired in September. I'll let you know.

Yeah, while listening tonight, I noticed I started all my answers by "alors" (= "so").

I messed up Amarres, partly because I was disturbed by my detuned guitar (I had to retune after the song, don't know why it had detuned that quickly, I had tunes it just before the set), but I think I played Golden Ghosts quite well.

If we manage to get the video from the guy who was filming, I'll put it on the web.

Btw, if you have tunning issues, there might be a couple of reasons.

If the strings are freshly put on, a good method is to tune up a strings, then bend it a lot (or just grab it and pull it away from the headstock, yank it a bit) and then tune up again. Then repeat the process until it stays in tune after the bending/pulling. It can take a while but the results are great, you don't have to wait for the strings to settle.

Also, it's a good idea to greese the grooves in the nut with a graphite pencil (the tradditional type) as sometimes strings get a bit jammed in there, which often causes tunning issues. It also helps avoid unwanted buzzing.

Lastly, having the guitar set up by a professional from time to time helps a great deal.

Hope that helps and sorry if these are all obvious points, I hope I didn't come across patronising.

I was so concentrated on Golden Ghosts that the English accent went quite bad, but you people don't seem very disturbed when I mess up the accent, and the playing was good, so, if I get the video, I'll put it on the net.

I think every person has an "accent". It's just nature. It's all about what the receipient person think about it and think what is different to her/his own speaking. Language and accent as well is just a way to communicate. It is even possible to communicate without spoken words.

I have a friend who is an English teacher (a French woman that teaches English), so she could help me to improve a bit.

It lasted perhaps an hour. It was a 14th July part in a village, held inside because of the weather. I found the village was very lively, for there were about 40 people, which is much, considering its 400 inhabitants.
