Well does some of your songwriting fit already to the Heathersexuals? We should start rehearsal then! We need to be prepared for Heather's upcoming tour!

I do think I have learned a lot from heather. Her approach to writing something blissful is inspiring as I am sure we all understand here. I try to add heathers sense of belief to song writing. She does it the best.

Seeing Johan does the catering, i think I'll join him. And being Austrian i feel responsible for the desserts and sweets. I think if i sang or played the guitar on stage, the tomatoes and foul eggs would be ours and it would be on my head. So I better leave singing and playing to all those talented people here. I'm impressed!

I think what we need to make this whole "Heathersexuals" band thing to work is a couple of female dancers. Who doesnt love a band with a few ladies doing there thing on stage? The music will be for the ears. The dancing for the eyes...

I do obviously all the archive stuff, like doing a tour documentary, song list, discography, collecting newspaper articles, pictures, CDs. Gerd can collect the audios and videos, like bootlegs and tv performances, and such. Also, he can run the Heathersexuals Advent Calendar with gems and stuff.

Additionally, I would like to write our press releases, while Gerd can probably do all the press contacts.

I would also like to sell our tickets and stand at the merchandising stall to sell our t-shirts and stickers and coffee mugs to our fans...

Johan (with some cool sunglasses) can probably be our bodyguard and security.

Anyone with a good video camera here? This person can do all the embarrassing backstage footage that we can put as bonus on our first DVD...

ok now that Bernd has all the marketing and press coverage squared away, I think it might be a sufficient time to write a song hehe.

Yeah, movies on musicians and bands are very en vogue these days. We should start soon. Anyone who wants to be director?

We soon have to start making serious plans!
I mean in two years we have to be ready to preform at heathers party when she is 20 years in the music business.

This cannot be! Or did she really start making records at the age of five?

She is so old, the compact discs weren't even invented yet when she was nine.

Her early work sounds better on vinyl discs or tape, so good thing is that cds weren't an option at that time.
And in todays world cd's are somehow a mayfly and will be outdated soon. Music is independent from the media where it is copied to anyway.

but in general, age is something relative. A 25 year old cat might be considered extremly old, a bermudian artist would not be. Well only in your eyes

I'm not sure if it is a good idea to listen to a nine-year-old singing.

In Germany, even a five-year old was already #1 in the music charts, and in my opinion, it was no song the world was really waiting for: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwBj1EIBOg8

It was sung by a nine-year old?
I watched it without sound (the first time I saw it ever), and the video reminded me of these small clips in the "Sendung mit der Maus" (the ones I always disliked already as a child, I wanted to see the 'explanation'-clips, not silly songs).

I'm new here, and bring very little to the table. Alas, some humor?

I'll direct the Hotel's as that's my business. I just spoke with Sally Struthers this morning in mine...was a nice treat.

Is there a job for a Scotch taster? That's a real strength of mine...ummm....how's 'bout someone to clean up horse poop (oops, my job at home)....ummm....dang...I bring nothing. I guess I could carry stuff :)

Ha, very cool.
Well, Estelle is a band of her own already!

Surprisingly I'm the only bassist up to now
Oh and I wouldn't call me a composer, I might be able to write some lyrics, but definitely no riffs...

I now have my own band too, comprising... well, me. My initial experiments (prior to writing actual songs) are to be found at http://www.myspace.com/figure2music
And, in addition to the cheap synthesizers, I now have some of the world's best synthesizers:
Moog Voyager
Access Virus
Waldorf Blofeld
and also a Roland VP-550 Vocal and Ensemble keyboard, which is a more sophisticated version of the traditional vocoder (I have one of those, too)

Plus, I'm gradually building up some skill in the use of Logic Pro music production software, so I guess I could pal up with Rational Dreamer in a joint attempt at being George Martin II

Strange names they have these synthesizers, the last one even sounds like the ol' evil one from James Bond...

Yeah, I think it's kinda deliberate. It looks very cool too. The Waldorf website http://www.waldorfmusic.de/en/products/blofeld/blofeld_overview
has a sorta Austin Powers Dr.Evil presenting the thing.
The main thing about the wee white box apart from the cool name is the sound it makes: truly spectacular. That goes for the Moog and the Virus also.

Am I wrong or this "article" imitating a German accent?

Yeah, sure, but the "English" Blofeld is writing is an English with a suggested German accent, that's what I meant. Nevertheless I still do not know what a "very" German scientist is... I'm sure it's a compliment... (on the other hand this would be Germans making compliments to Germans, ... well, maybe one should just forget and be glad about the quality...).

It's probably either 1) German sense of 'self aware - self depecrating' sense of humour or it's 2) A very clever German attempt at appealing to the English sense of humour. I know that at least the guy in the musical instrument shop and I both found it... not so much 'hilarious' just extremely entertaining in a fun sense. And then, when it's such an awesomely good product, one might read (or hear) 'very good scientists' for 'very German scientists'.
I think it's also a bunch of Germans who've made the Access Virus synth module. This is a much more expensive piece of equipment and correspondingly even more awesome. Anyways, these are currently two of the best-sounding synthesizers in the world so, after decades dominated by the Japanese (Roland, Yamaha, Korg) the Germans are definitely on a roll.
Although the Yanks still win, since the Moog Minimoog and it's grandson the Moog Voyager (a very similar instrument) by Dr.Bob Moog of North Carolina, I think is, frankly, the best synthesizer of all time.

Whatever happened to The Band? Where are the CDs, Youtube videos, vinyls, ticket stubs?

What was our breakup story? Sex? Drugs? Rock n Roll? Did we skyrocket to heights and then crash down?

I need to know the salacious story and who was at fault. Sounds like a management problem to me!

And I need our old songs to reminisce over. Will we have a streaming documentary about our storied music career, rise, and fall?
