I just came home from the concert of Kansas. Yes this old band who recorded "Dust in the wind" 30 years ago. They are still great musicians I think but well not the taste of the people today. No young folks in the crowd
They have recorded their last album 1999 and still go on tour from time to time. So after quite some weeks of stress for me with the move of the website, is was at least a moment to relax.

There's a concert I really want to go to (Eskobar) but it would cost me around 150 euros to go.

As Eskobar cancelled the gig you had planned to go to, right? Maybe there are still chances they’ll fix a substitute concert near your home place.

Well, Hooverphonic were ok, but they did only play for 1 hour.

I didn't think it was a good festival.

It was for free, so lots of people, lots of 15 year olds that were very drunk, loud...

We were not able to get close to the stage.

It was very hard to get a drink...

Well, that was all because of the festival was for free.

i've seen Hooverphonic 10 km from home in januari, there were like 500 people, it was amazing !!!!

I am back from the concert. 2 support acts, different then what was announced! And Maria played only one hour including 2songs ecore! She was ill i was told and well she told about it on stage.

There where only 700 people maybe but it was a perfect open air event. Perfect weather, not to much sunshine but warm. A very relaxed atmospehre. It was just a bit to loud! Well we were close to the loud speakers.

Anyway I met Uwe and his beautiful wife Sabine, Jasmin and suprisingly Klaus, both long term Heather Nova fans!

No, but i think Uwe and his wife did and this guy from the german fanclub. There was a chance to meet her so for me as well.

Next concert for me: Alanis Morissette in Cologne, which s an open air concert. Good thing is I can leave early tommorow from work to go there. It is 200km away and the concert starts already 7pm.

Malcolm Middleton, 'Alzy' and 'Steve'.

Well, Sophia is a loose collective, of which the only permanent member is Robin PS (a bit like Heather Nova or PJ Harvey).

The Sophia gig was amazing.

They played some old songs they had never played live before, let alone with strings.

The guy on keyboards was not as good as Will, which was very obvious during 'oh my love'.

Doesn't matter if it is, we're both over 18.

But in some Clubs you are still not allowed without adults (whatever that is), right?

No, not anymore. I'm 20 now so it doesn't matter if I bring another adult or not if the age limit to any club would be higher.

I'm not sure about this concert, but if it is the age limit is usually 18, which of course sucks, everyone should be allowed. If you're not 18 fine, don't drink, but you should still be able to got to a concert!

Nellie McKay in Houston on 8/5, Austin on 8/7, and Dallas on 8/8.

I won't be able to go to the 8/5 show as that is right at the end of my semester, but I will see her on 8/7 for sure and probably 8/8 too. Woo!

Oh, yes i had, thanks! It was so great to see and hear Agnès and her guys (and girl not to forget) live again. I love this combination of the gentle piano, violin, cello, tinwhistle/flute along with the tough e-bass, e-guitar and drums. Sometimes so beautiful smooth and tender but when they start to rock…wow! - brilliant, i love it. And I was talking to Agnès afterwards, she’s such a nice girl and even thanked me twice for coming to the concert. Unfortuntely LN didn’t come for support but this 18 year old guitar player Julian Kleiss. He amazed everyone, it’s unbelievable what this young guy can do with his guitar.
