I watched a very pleasant little documentary all about this photographer who was chiefly active in Cannes during the fifties: he took these great pictures of B.B., Sophia Loren, Kim Novak, Orson Welles, Picasso, Onassis et. al.
And it came complete with an absolutely superb, specially comissioned jazz soundtrack.

Evan Almighty. It sucked of course but was very amusing since I could say "I've been there!" all the time.

Simpsons movie. It sucked as well. I hate it when movies acknowledges that it is a movie IN the movie itself.

Very aesthetic film. Great and rather unusual "shots". Wonderful actors - and soundtrack..

Office Space. Incredibly amusing.

A lot of people would recognize the feelings of the main characters.

I just saw Control, the movie about the life of Ian Curtis, the singer of Joy Division, who died at the tender age of 23.

An amazing movie !

I cried during the last 15 minutes.

@all:

Do you watch most movies

a) in the cinema?
b) at home on DVD's?
c) on television?

Just curious...

I hardly ever go to the movies, I prefer to see stuff at home.

I don't like movies, but I've got 200 live concert dvd's at home...

I like British humour : Fawlty Towers, Monty Pyton, The Office, Extras, Game on, Men behaving badly ...

"Too religious"? The film is based on the novel written by Carl Sagan, a scientist who worked at the NASA. I don't think he was a religious man, but more an agnostic one. And as an agnostic, of course he respected religion. Personnaly I liked this movie and I don't think this film is really religious.

Last week, I saw the movie starring Jodie Foster "The brave one". Well, I really can't agree with the fact of having a weapon and making one's own justice...
Yet, there were some interesting reflections in the movie.
Besides, we can hear Sarah Mclachlan's song "Answer".

Well it doesn't matter who wrote it or what he thought, the movie itself was centered way too much about religion.

Yesterday I bought the Princess Bride and saw it with my fiance. It's a really good movie but Buttercup can be so stupid. She wears nice dresses though. I wonder why this movie made it so big, anyone got an idea?

A great movie about music 'snobs' or freaks.

And about love.

'Born in Brothels'
it's a documentary about the children of prostitutes in Calcutta, India. An American photographer went over there on an assignment and started to teach the children photography. It's a great film. The children have so little going for them, in terms of education or social status and yet they are so alive, and talented and, in many ways, wise too... makes you realise how unfair the world is. But the film is full of humanity and hope, so it's no downer.

Well, not a movie, but right now I watch the German tv news ("Tagesschau") from October 18, 1977. Very interesting!

I was watching a Harry Potter movie yesterday with my sister - I guess it was part three (prisoner of Askaban or so...). Hell, was it boring.

Hi Bene!

"The prisoner of Azkaban"? Well, I have to admit it's my favorite film of the "Harry Potter" serial (didn't read any of the books! ). It's the one with Gary Oldman who can transform into a dog, right?

Hope you've passed a Merry Christmas, anyway!
