I always assumed that Imogen Heap's first album's greatness lay in her collaborator; Guy Siggisworth, who I think was responsible for Madonna's musically greatest album.
But Imogen's second album seems to be entirely her own work. And it's every bit as stunning as the first: these gorgeous lyrics, gorgeous melodies, clever arrangements and quality musicianship.
Ooh I just love it I really really do!

Just back from Imogen Heap's gig. So theatrical, like some sort of techno fairytale set in the court of the French Sun King. She played all sorts of instruments and electronic trickery to build up this incredible complex of sound. Plus her hair was done up high and a bit pink and she sort of pranced around grinning, with these delicate hand gestures and this lovely English Public Schoolgirl (all grown up) accent.
Fabulous.
