Tori Amos - Night of Hunters (was released today in Germany)

Fantastic album! I like especially the songs with her daughter Natashya.

I bought the "deluxe version" with an extra DVD - will have to have a look on it in the next days.

Got this album with DVD already yesterday from Amazon. It is an album with classic music inspired by songs from Franz Schubert, Felix Mendelssohn, Johann Sebastian Bach, Claude Debussy and other great artists from the past. The arrangements are also very classical with Chlarinet, Oboe, Piano, Flute and so on. I still need to discover the lyrics, need to understand them better than from the first read while listening. Seven Sisters, a song without lyrics catched me most so, from the first listen.

Elephant - In The Moon

The singer is Catherine Ireton. First song:

She was later part of the "God Help The Girl" project done by Stuart Murdoch of Belle & Sebastian.

I have to say that I love her voice. Songs like "Act of the Apostle" or "I'm In Love With The City" just work so well with her delivery:

And "Come Monday Night" has some really beautiful harmonies (Alex Klobouk can hit some incredible and clear notes, and Celia Garcia also has a wonderful voice):

Bought 'Metals' by Feist and love it. I think that she is another singer/songwriter, like Heather, who is difficult to pigeon hole as a particular genre, but her music is original and often brilliant.

Have also been playing 'Paper Airplane' by Alison Krauss & The Union Station, which is a very good album too.
