In the summer of 1994 I saw a 10 second fragment of Heather playing live on a festival. It was on 120 minutes or Alternative Nation, on Mtv on sunday evening.
I was completely blown away ! I guess it was Sugar or Mother Tongue. The day after I bought 2 albums by Heather (Blow and Glow Stars) and was immediately 'sold'. In october I got Oyster for my 25 th birthday. At that time I didn't like WTW which was often heard on the radio. It was a big surprise to find out that Heather played in my favourite club of that time, Pacific. After that concert, life would never be the same again

1994, at the age of 14. Can't remember which song, to be honest, but after listening to it, I borrowed Oyster from a friend who obviously had a very good taste.

I meant that when I was a teenage, I loved the pop-rock-radiopleasing sound. When I bought Heather albums, at that time, I wasn't fond of Glow Stars and Blow. My favourite one was Siren, because London Rain and Heart And Shoulder. On South, my fav were I'm No Angel and Like Lovers Do. Well, now, it's totally the other way around.
Now, if I didn't know Heather and heard I'm No Angel on the radio, I wouldn't buy the album, and I'd miss a great artist !

For me, it was in 1996, on the french radio FIP.
There was Heart an Shoulder... Immediately, I didn't understand lyrics, but, I was totaly marveled. But, also, in my head, there was a small voice who said me : "She's a friend".

Attracted by the cover of Oyster, i went to the listening station of Fnac. Listened to a few seconds of walk this world. Bought the CD, ran to my car, and discovered the marvelous album just driving in Paris...

I think the first Heather song I have ever heard, was Heart And Shoulder.
I am sure the first cd I have ever bought was Siren. And now I am proud to say: I HAVE THEM ALL

The first song I've heard was Walk this world on SWR3 in early 1995 I think. Then I discovered Maybe an angel later on the same radio and I decided to buy Oyster (there wasn't Sugar on this version ...) in december 1995. I loved the album more and more and especially Island, Walking higher, Heal and Doubled up. In 1997 I bought Glow Stars and Oyster (with Sugar this time) and then Siren in 1998 and from this album Heather became the number one for me. Since 1998 I buy each new album as soon as he is released.

Saw Heather perform 'Walk This World' live on the White Room on C4 on the TV. Heard the song again the following week on the Mark and Lard show on Radio 1.
I thought "I really like that" so I bought my first Heather Nova album 'Oyster' and the rest is history
