He released his new album last Tuesday. I'm curious if Heather might be on it by any chance. I don't think she was on Above the Bones.

It's funny, to hear Mishka's hight voice (as his sister).

He've come out 4 albums :


- Talk About (2010).

- Above The Bones (2009).

- One Tree (2005).(In guitar : David Ayer, who work
with Heather).

- Mishka (1999). Heather collaborate at this one.
We can hear her in backing vocal.
(In "Lonely", the ninth song, in
your link, it's sure, it's her.
But in "Happy", and "Give you all
the love", I'm not sure.

And you ?

Oh! Perhaps, we must remind that :

MISHKA IS THE HEATHER'BROTHER.

Mishka is just awesome i've had his first Album since 2000 and it's just fantastic, But haven't bought any others yet.

I'm really glad you like the Photos especially as it took me so long to find some Hi-Res ones for you all to enjoy so it was worth it, Wish i could find some more but i think that's all there is for the moment.

I've found another Mishka Album to add to the Discography.

This was released in 2000 on Sony Music. It is an Album of Dub Mixes from his first Album with Heather on background Vocals.

Very rare and sought after now.

Looks like Mishka will be in downtown DC on June 3rd at the Hard Rock Cafe, doing a 75-minute set followed by a meet&greet + signing.

I think I'll probably go and ask him to sign my Mishka CD and perhaps Glow Stars too.

Just noticed the bio on his official site has some stuff that might interest Heather fans. I believe Heather mentioned Jimmy Buffett a year or so ago. I still think it'd be cool to see Heather cover an old Buffett song, especially one of his ocean-themed ones.

From the website:

"The music I heard growing up from my parents, sisters and the places we visited gave me a lot of musical and cultural flexibility. Everything I’ve ever heard blends together in what I do. I’m a huge reggae fan but there’s folk, soul, rock and other elements in the music.” Mishka’s international outlook is a product of his nautical background. “We sailed all over the Atlantic and Caribbean,” Mishka recalls. “We visited Brazil, all the Caribbean islands, even made a cross-Atlantic trip to Portugal and England.” Mishka and his sisters were home schooled until they went to boarding school for their higher education. “Learning how to read maps and chart a course was my math and geography class, going ashore in different countries and talking to people about their culture was my history class, reading books on board was my literary education, picking up French and Portuguese in the ports we visited was my language school.” The boat had a small battery-run cassette player and Mishka heard the music his parents loved: The Beatles, Jimmy Cliff, Dylan and Jimmy Buffett. “My sisters turned me on to the Police, Cars and Roxy Music, but when I heard Burning Spear, Culture, and Bob Marley, I got addicted to roots reggae.”
