Which artists/bands have you never seen yet, but would you like to see one day?
Only still living artists allowed! For me: - Liz Phair (very much interested in) - Regina Spektor (almost as much as Liz Phair interested in) - The Dresden Dolls (they have split-up in 2008, though) - Fiona Apple (maybe) - Susan Voelz (maybe, very unlikely though) - Kate Bush (well, this is very unlikely as well) - Veruca Salt (very unlikely, split-up years ago) - Courtney Love (hehe)

An interesting thread, Bernd... but how about artists/musicians/groups who disbanded before you got around to getting to see them?
I saw Genesis, King Crimson and Jethro Tull in the 1990s, but obviously not in their more classic forms... I would have liked to have seen Pink Floyd also but with Rick Wright's demise, that'll never happen now... same with Frank Zappa... Of three other bands who I love, Thinking Plague play so infrequently (financial issues) that it's unlikely I'll see them live; Monsoon Bassoon, a quirky jazz rock band originating from London, England, broke up years before I got into them... and Electrelane, a female quartet who I love, are in permanent holiday, as of a year or so ago... Others I'd like to see someday are Fred Frith, John Zorn, and any formation they put together given their prolific composing/musicianship; Lili Haydn in solo mode; Catherine Anne Davies, a relative newcomer who performs in London a lot... Not enough time or money to see 'em all...

I'll second Catherine Anne Davies... she's performing with an orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall (London) fairly soon but as I've absolutely no money, I have to content myself with minute (or minute-by-minute) updates on twitter
 I'd like to see Vanessa Paradis and Axelle Red... And Serge G. would've been a show worth making a journey for. There are many others, too...

- Sonic Youth (that might still happen)
- Candlebox (unlikely, I doubt they will ever make some European tour again) - Stone Temple Pilots (reunited, so it might be possible) - Chris Cornell (I do not like his solo projects very much, but I'd like to see the guy himself) There are some more, I think - funnily it would not have been so hard to see these bands or singers years ago, but I started to attend concerts rather lately, unfortunately. Well, Veruca Salt still exist, don't they? At least in parts. But since they are not very known anymore here by now, I doubt they'd come to Europe again.

I never got to see Led Zeppelin, no chance now.
Another artist who has caught my attention is Murali Coryell, but I imagine he would probably end up playing somewhere like Ronnie Scotts so not much chance there either.

All of the artists I'd like to see are rock bands, hardly a surprise as my tastes tend to lean that way...
Green Day Kings Of Leon Metallica AC/DC and my all-time favourites, Pearl Jam. I would loved to have seen Killing Joke when they were at their peak, particularly as they're widely recognized as a major influence for a lot of current bands. Some of their stuff from the early 80's is awesome.

Are we allowed long-gone people/artists?
 The Supremes (right when Meet The Supremes was released and a few years later) The Shangri-Las The Ronettes Jeff Buckley Heather nova, circa 1996 PJ Harvey, early 90's (but now would definitely do too.) Roy Orbison Emily Haines Mumford & Sons Peggy Sue Laura Marling, 3 years ago. Scout Niblett The Smiths Morrissey. That's all i can think of for now. :)
