She is currently on tour in Europe. I don't know yet that much about her so, but I will go to two concerts soon as I think she is a very interesting artist and I like songs that I listened to on YouTube and so. She was the singer of a band called Lamb.

Jadamur posted already, that she is even better than Heather, but well I do know that is impossible!

Here is the song that caught me
Lou Rhodes - The Rain

Some information about her from Wikipedia
Lou Rhodes at Wikipedia

Her official website
http://www.infinitebloom.com/

and here her myspace website

I used to like Lamb, well some of its songs, especially Gabriel and Gorecki.

I've seen them live a few times on Werchter.

I'm back home, having seen a great from Lou in Frankfurt. After the concert I met her. It's so great to meet an artist and having the opportunity to talk to.

Seemingly you enjoyed it, Gerd. Hopefully she was singing "Gabriel"? I translated these lyrics for my mum and played the song to her and my sis and they liked it very much as well. And "The rain" is also great!

Heather is a Lamb fan right? I remember NDR 1998, where she wanted to hear Gorecki.

I liked Lamb a lot.
I was very sad when they split up, but there was some hope, as Lou Rhodes was playing solo.
But her music doesn't reach me as Lamb's did. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I'm a bit dissapointed.
I probably like Lamb because of the opposites of sounds in their music, and this is obviously not so anymore.
I never her saw her playing solo live, maybe that would change something?

Yesterday I joined Lou's concert in Heidelberg/Germany, which was the last concert in germany on this tour. The setlist was exactly the same as in Frankfurt, just Fortress was payled intead of Beloved One.
The concert was seated this time, no numbered seats so. A very relaxing atmosphere. Oddur was again support artist for Lou. He played about 30 minutes. Check him out on is myspace website http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=55938695
Lou played something 80 minutes and I the concert was even better than in Frankfurt.
There where only a few people left waiting when she finally came out to meet the fans. So a good oportunity for me to talk with her again. I gave her a DVD with the pics and videos I made from her concert which I promised her already in Frankfurt.
I asked her if she saw the camera on the floor and she said she sees nearly every tiny thing happening in the audience. And well that is true. She noticed a cell phone with camera some seats besides me at this concert.
I told her about running the HNN website with the help of a lot fans. Just hope she will have a look and hope she register to see the ful content.
I told her that I just knew a few songs from recommandations on HNN before going to the concert. I mentioned Johan and she seems to know him!
Lou is playing gorgeous sounding guitars. She said they are quite expensive. I asked for the model of her two acoustic guitars:
Martin OM-21
Martin OM-28
They starts something 2500 Euro I found out.
Somebody from the crew I talked to as well - he was doing the mearchandising - gave me his AAA pass, which I am thankful for as it is such a nice memory from the tour.
On the way driving back home on the highway I listened again to "Bloom", Lou's recent album and I noticed I love it even more. Best album in 2008 so far to me.

Good news, Johan!
Please tell her greetings from Gerd! Although I was only at two concerts, she might hopefully remember my name.
Im very much looking forward how you like her solo concert, as you know her already from the concerts with Lamb.

150 km is quite far for a concert in Belgium.

It's near the coast, near the French border, in a little town where Heather played in 1998 (Dranouter festival).

The last 40 km are in a very rural area, that might be the 'longest' part of the trip.

If I get to talk to her, I doubt we'll be talking about you.

Too bad my New Love can't join me.

Gerd said : "I told her that I just knew a few songs from recommandations on HNN before going to the concert. I mentioned Johan and she seems to know him !".

I've never met her. I saw her a few times on Werchter, but there were like 50.000 other people in the audience.

Apparantly, Nikolaj Bjerre, who has played drums for Heather, used to be a Lamb member.

And now he's the drummer of the support act, Udorr ?

A concert on Good Friday? Is this normal? Is Good Friday a normal working day in Belgium?

In Bavaria, any "dance event" or "sport event" is forbidden today, from midnight till midnight.

The gig was ok, but not that special.

Lou is very talented, but she's on stage on her own and only uses a guitar, so not a lot of variation.

During Gabriel she only used her voice and a Jim-man, that was kind of fun.

The support act was boring.

After the gig, I didn't wait for her, because it was late and I had to drive for 2 hours in this hell of a weather !

The Lou Rhodes gig was ok, but not that special. I don't know why she never plays Lamb songs though.

There were not a lot of people in the audience (maybe 100) and an elderly lady fainted, which seemed to worry Lou.

Here a little pic I made.

I stood on the front row, but had to move back 3 places to take good pics as we were so close to the stage.
