Fiona Apple's full name is "Fiona Apple McAfee Maggart"!

Apple and McAfee! Am I the only one who thinks of "Apple Inc." and "McAfee Inc." now?

I learned that the German train drivers earn 1.500 € a month, which is a joke ! The people checking the train tickets, or the people from catering earn even less !

In Belgium, train drivers that drive with passenger trains at irregular hours and having a long career, can earn +- 2000 € net a month.

No wonder the train drivers will go on strike !

The German name for the "Great Kiskadee" bird is "Schwefeltyrann", which means literally "sulfur tyrant"!

If you're not sure about something, it's probably better not to do it. If it's an option, ask or e-mail the person an inquiry before submitting something if the situation calls for it. Common sense, but I wasn't thinking at the time.

Coca-cola in the US doesn't have sugar in it! They use high fructose corn syrup instead! No wonder people have such weight problems, everything has corn syrup in it.

I won't be drinking any sodas in the US at all when I'm there. Not if it contains corn syrup instead of sugar.

I have NEVER seen a man drinking "diet coke" so far. But hundreds of women...

But yes, sugar is still the best-tasting sweetener I know of.

The first tin cans were invented in 1810, but the first can opener not earlier than in 1855!

According to wikipedia:

The first tin cans, invented in 1810, were heavy-weight containers that required ingenuity to open, using knives, chisels or even rocks. Not until cans started using thinner metal about 50 years later were any dedicated openers developed.

My colleague said as he was at the German army maybe ten years ago, he had to eat there some meat, canned in the end-1950's or early-1960's... and it wasn't rotten.

The movie 'Control' will be in shown in Metropolis (Antwerp) on 12/09/07.

It's a movie about the life of the singer of Joy Division, Ian Curtis, who hung himself at the tender age of 23.

I found out that resetting the PRAM (Parameter RAM) on my laptop helped to let my laptop boot in 20 seconds. After I had changed the internal disk it was up to 40 seconds. Well still better than a windows PC i guess.

p.s. i posted that some minutes ago in the wrong thread. it is deleted know there.
