A really lovely and stunning story about her parents. And that she had already known Vincent before, though I wasn't able to understand the place (a ...palace?) where they had met the first time.
Heather seemed very relaxed and open during this interview.

I couldnít see the list with firefox - for what reason ever -, but I can with google chrome. (Iím not on Spotify either.) Well, I know most of the artists, but only a few songs of the list, but e.g., of course I like the Kate Bush one (wasnít there "Running up that hill" on that list, too, some time ago?) and "Everything I wanted" by Billie Eilish a lot. And I love "Hurt" in the version by Johnny Cash. For me, one of the few times, where I like the cover much better than the original Ė itís a masterpiece and always makes me cry. Iím fond of "From the stalls" by Angus and Julia Stone, but donít know this one.

In this time of terrible uncertainty and fear, the one thing we have to hold on to is hope. And through this dark time, one of the things thatís brought us hope and comfort has been music. In light of this, and I do see light at the end of this long and harrowing tunnel, Iím planning to go ahead with my acoustic tour in October & November, (which was already planned before the pandemic).
I know this will be an extra special tour; I have always felt it a privilege to play live concerts, but now the privilege will feel even greater. I hope you share my hope, and that you will join me, to once again gather together and share music.

With love and thanks.
Heather

Thanks for the info, Gerd! From where did you get that message by Heather?
E.g., I subscribed on her website's newsletter ages ago, but never ever got one!

After a long time:
Alanis Morissette - Supposed former infatuation junkie (finding, that I still like it very, very much)
and
Tracy Chapman - Telling stories (some really excellent songs on it)

Itís so great, when people talk so enthusiastic about music, like you did, Bernd. Thatís kind of similar what my favourite music does to me.

Iíve always loved Hawkinsí "Right beside you" and "Hello" and "Stay" by the Shakespears Sister, but "I donít care" is great as well!
Iím still fond of the good old 80s, that makes me nostalgic... I love watching this 80ís show on Deluxe music tv. There used to be a 90ís show there as well, but since a few months unfortunately not anymore.

Lately, iíve been listening to all Tori Amos cds in reverse order. Iím still touched by her earlier songs and love them, but I still canít find any approach to her albums since "Abnormally attracted to sin". Really strange, like it was two separate artists making that music.

My mother has known a former chairman of the Philharmonic and his wife by chance and once she told my mum, that her husband really couldnít even get tickets for friends (when asked by them), even if he wanted to.

Well, I'm looking forward to the concert. Music is always a good thing to start the new year with.

Well, it would fit, as Heather has Scottish roots, hasn't she? I think, the dedication in the "Glowstars" booklet was partly for her Granny (Dorothy Bell Maclaren)!?

Very nice songs with a Scottish folk touch! Wild Mountain Thyme sounds quite familiar to me.

Gerd, you can put a picture of a guitar on the wall, but a guitar should not just be a decoration object, but should be played, imho. To me thatís also an act of respect for the guitar builder(s), even if itís "only" factory-made (and not custom-made).
Of course itís up to you, what you do with your purchased guitars, but I feel itís really a pity, if instruments are not played. Sorry, just my two cents and not meant offending!

(The auction of the Telecaster is already over anyway, btw.)

Heather didn't play that Telecaster often live, did she? Usually she plays the Taylor T5 during the more rocking songs, when she is on tour with the whole band. But perhaps i just don't remember anymore.

In these Corona times especially independent artists need to find a new way to earn money as concerts are their chief income nowadays and not the usual cds, vinyls, etc... as in the past. You have to do/release something special.
The singers Bernd named already show that. I assume, Heather will do something similar as well, if the uncertain situation continues.

After listening to it several times, I generally like the album better, but my favourites remain the same. But "Her" has really grown on me and is likely my no. 1 at the moment. It's been quite a long time, I've been moved to tears by a song by one of my favourite artists, but this song touches me.

I have only listened to Such pretty forks in the road thrice until now. So far my favourites are still Smiling and Reasons I drink. But I like Missing the miracle and Ablaze very much as well. And Her is beautiful, too.
Some very good songs on it, but also some I canít relate to. To me a lot of lyrics are quite cryptic, so that makes it harder for me to connect, especially if I find the melody just average.

It's not on heathernova.com either anymore.

The worst thing (beside the financial issue) for the artists and promoters about this must be the uncertainty. That you can't plan anything without having it turned upside down the next day.
