Heather didn't play that Telecaster often live, did she? Usually she plays the Taylor T5 during the more rocking songs, when she is on tour with the whole band. But perhaps i just don't remember anymore.

I like this guitar/ukulele combination - never heard that before, but it sounds great.

In these Corona times especially independent artists need to find a new way to earn money as concerts are their chief income nowadays and not the usual cds, vinyls, etc... as in the past. You have to do/release something special.
The singers Bernd named already show that. I assume, Heather will do something similar as well, if the uncertain situation continues.

After listening to it several times, I generally like the album better, but my favourites remain the same. But "Her" has really grown on me and is likely my no. 1 at the moment. It's been quite a long time, I've been moved to tears by a song by one of my favourite artists, but this song touches me.

I have only listened to Such pretty forks in the road thrice until now. So far my favourites are still Smiling and Reasons I drink. But I like Missing the miracle and Ablaze very much as well. And Her is beautiful, too.
Some very good songs on it, but also some I can’t relate to. To me a lot of lyrics are quite cryptic, so that makes it harder for me to connect, especially if I find the melody just average.

Yes, absolutely - I loved it especially on "Your words"! He is a very good and creative player.

It's not on heathernova.com either anymore.

The worst thing (beside the financial issue) for the artists and promoters about this must be the uncertainty. That you can't plan anything without having it turned upside down the next day.

Unbelievable: I've wanted to post a review for the "Golden Ghosts" single on Amazon.de as well and they don't let me do that either. Obviously you must have purchased items worth 50 Euros or more within one year and I was just within that time limit, when I wrote the last review, but not this time.
I avoid buying on Amazon as much as possible for me (without a credit card) anyway and now I know another time why...

You are right, you can hear influences of both (especially on the title track), but she is still unique. Need to listen further, but e.g. I like Rivers of Ice, Doesn’t kill you or Bury me very much. Really a lot of variety on that album!

(I wanted to do the same on Amazon.com in English, but it wasn’t accepted. I guess, because I have never bought anything there, only on .de ).

So great, Estelle, I can imagine how you must feel!
I'm not on itunes, Deezer, Spotify, etc... And I was looking for it on Amazon.de (the only way for me to purchase it) during the last days and got no hit, but today your EP is online there as well. I've just bought it and I'm listening to it right now.
But unfortunately your single with the other 3 songs is not available on Amazon.de. Do you know why? I'd love to buy them, too.

I have just listened to all of your songs on Soundcloud and discovered two more in English on your new single. The arrangement there is really great - I especially love “What if the fog” (with this beautiful guitar picking), but “Till the winter ends” (with the banjo?) is lovely, too! Well, well done!

That'd be great!

"Bandcamp", "Imusician" – I've never even heard of these!
Most of this new internet stuff passes me by, obviously. I realize, I'm the dwindling good old(-fashioned) CD-purchaser...

Ah, now I understand the title - you are referring to the Proust (or madeleine) effect. This makes totally sense to me now (as I was wondering about the cakes). Plus the clever kind of play on words with the names Madeleine and Alain.

I guess, it's an hommage to this singer, that inspired you? (I only know "madeleines" as little cakes.)

But anyway, again: you've got a really lovely and pleasant voice, so it's nice listening to your songs, though not understanding the lyrics.

Beautiful song!

A few days ago I stumbled over a video from 1995, where she and Melissa Etheridge did a great duet of "Sleep while I drive". Actually, I’m not too fond of that song, but I really liked that version with Jewel. Their voices together sounded great.

Melissa Etheridge's duet with her daughter Bailey – a wonderful cover version of Coldplay's "Fix you". Just moved me to tears. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e424psmh8RE

Made me wonder, if Sebastian would join his mother for a duet as well... (I remember, he once learnt playing the violin.)
