I completed Resident Evil 4 in a few hours the other day.

I only really play videogames from series that I love and have grown up with (and rock at ^_^), like Tomb Raider, Silent Hill (especially) and Resident Evil. I don't often look into other games because I'm not that much of a videogame geek.

Heather's next album should dabble in electronica a little. Maybe not in the style of her ATB colloborations (which are more dance), but I think if done properly, a few electronica flourishs on her arrangements, clashed with some really operatic vocals and she could create something really beautiful, edgy and icy and new.

I really believe she needs to invest in a new musicial direction (Not that I don't love her other albums, but it's time for something else. Something epic.).

I prefer the speedy mix of the song. It sounds like they spent more money on the production than on that other remix.

I kind of like "Bouncing" and "Big Wheel" is alright, but they're pretty uninvolving, and a bit stale.

I'm not sure what I make of the other new song "Secret Spell".

"Fans of singer Tori Amos -- emotionally intense cult star deluxe -- can expect a new album oming in April, titled "American Doll Posse." And Tori has a real doll posse working with her on this disc -- four well-known female musicians. One is brunette, two are blonde and there's a readhead too. Amos won't give out the names, but insists they are "trailblazers, representing the many facets of a woman"

So which famous musicians do we know? A brunette, two blondes and a redhead?

They previewed on Radio 101 the other day, they're here : http://the-cranberries.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?t=533

There's a few radio announcements played over them, but they're great. Especially When We Were Young. That chorus wont
get out of my head.

Since I was 12/13.

Was heavy into Alanis, Heather was on the reccomendations. Downloaded the songs "Sugar" and "Storm" and was imediatly bought. Then in the next two weeks, I bought all of her albums. And then, later, tshirts and more "wow i love this woman" stuff.

Strange to think how now I'm 18 in two weeks.

Ooooh I'm loving here two solo songs, When We Were Young and Human Spirit. There is so much kick in the arrangement of the former. Really loving it.

With The Cranberries, I like them but I think there's a case of "Once you've heard one of their songs, you've heard them all."

I heard the songs and decided to come over and see how the Tori thread was doing since I haven't been around in awhile!

Of the new songs, they're pleasant enough but they're pretty uninspired. I love that wavering guitar through the chorus' of "Bouncing Off Clouds" and I like the way the drum dictates the flow of "Big Wheel". However, I think when she refers to herself as a MILF, it's a failed attempt at claiming her own sexuality - it just makes me cringe.

Again, However, I think the new album will be amazing. I have loved/obsessed over all her records and other releases, and I can't wait to see her in London on July 3rd.

Charlotte Martin's Stromata.

I'd like to send some love, though, to Jewel's Goodbye Alice In Wonderland, Regina Spektor's Begin To Hope, Heather Nova's The Sorrowjoy cd and Nelly Furtado's Loose.

I think "All The Way" would work as a live bridge to another Heather Nova song, like "Doubled Up". And if it all had a much faster pace.

Sucking Out The Sting.

There's a quality to it that I haven't seen from Heather before, I can't really explain it. I like the visuals, the ties between romantisicm and the cold and the dead animal.

I'd say any of these suggestions is a good one.

My personal favourite though is "Lost In Space". It's just so intense, lonely, haunting and emotionally available.

I adore Tori Amos' version of that.

I tend to listen to Christmas music only in like July, before it's overplayed and irritating.

I don't think this will be one of those traditional christmas albums, though, I bet it will be one of those dreamy far away albums. Listening to it will probably feel more like staring into a shook up paper-weight, watching the snow settle.

1. Whatever Happened To Christmas.
2. Christmas Song.
3. Christmastime.
4. I'll be Home For Christmas.
5. You're A Mean One, Mr Grinch.
6. Winter Wonderland.
7. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.
8. God Rest Ye Merry Christmas.
9. White Christmas.
10. Calling On Mary. (an Aimee Mann original Christmas song.)

Since I know there are a few other Aimee Mann fans on here, I was wondering if they were planning to buy this and I was wondering what they think about Aimee Mann doing a christmas album.

I think it will be a really good. Coming from Aimee, I expect it to be a melancholy spin on the theme of a Christmas Album and it will probably sound quite haunting. Though she wont be able to beat Tori's beautifully desolate cover of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.".

You can listen to "I'll Be Home For Christmas" at her website. www.aimeemann.com

So I got bored these last few days and downloaded 11 full live Charlotte Martin shows. "Redeemed" appears a few times on the setlists between 2003 and 2006.

Now I was listening to the Veins ep (A friend in America bought it for me and sent me it when it first came out) again the other day and I still think "Bones" should be on the stromata album, rather than "Four Walls".

I was going to post in this topic ages ago but I forgot.

I like the new song. I think electronic flourishes suit her style. I think an electronica album would be a good idea, but not in the vein of Tori's To Venus And Back or Poe's Haunted, because I'm not sure that sort of darkness would suit a 2006 Heather Nova but who knows.

Whilst I love all of Heather's albums, I think for her next album she really needs to shake up the mix and not let it settle and skin over.
