Nice song, nothing surprising or particularly special but very pleasant to listen to. And Heather's voice still sounds great.

The full video of our performance in Wrocław this April is now available on YouTube!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYXsbq ... 9eQtMuvQI4eNYq9P9XZL3p2Ty

The video is a bit rough but the audio is very high quality - it was recorded onto multitrack so we could really make sure the mix is right.

It's a fun show - our sound man Krzysztof Witos joins us on piano for a few tunes, a lot of the songs are augmented by additional pre-recorded tracks, so the arrangements are varied, despite the minimal line-up. We played 8 tracks from the album, one from my Glass Island project, one by my old band Lavender and several covers. No Heather songs this time but did Garbage and Roxette amongs others. Do check it out!

I have been an ocassional user over the ears and it seems like the forums were always there. I am aware that movement has been pretty slow so I can totally understand you contemplating shutting them down. It would be sad, though.

I have to confess my imput has been minimal and has really now gone down to basically self promotion, I'm afraid. But I've continued posting since a couple of people (including your good self Gerd) have been pretty supportive. I do want to add I still quite regularly read other people posts, I just don't feel I have much to contribute.

Thanks guys, yeah I've been told that before. I have to say I don't think in terms of images while making (or listening to) music at all but it would be an interesting challenge to score a short film if someone made an offer :)

I've just released a new, intrumental Glass Island track called "Ghost Line". You can check it out here:

https://glassislandpoland.bandcamp.com/track/ghost-line

track info:

"Ghost Line" was written towards the end of the sessions for the first album but was not considered for it, as the tracklist had been firmly established by then. Neither did it feel like it fitted the direction I wanted to go on the second album (to be released next year) so the decision was made to release it as a standalone single.

It marks a double first for Glass Island - it's the project's first instrumental track as well as the first ever track published to feature myself playing the bass guitar.

Thank you so much for your lovely words.

I've been a Pink Floyd fan since I was a kid in the early 90s. Anmd yeah, the bells may bring High Hopes to mind but they signify something different in my song. Btw, the bells in HH are actually themselves a callback to a much earlier PF song called Fat Old Sun.

Thanks Gerd. She's made a lot of progress in the last year, it's really more to do with what's going on in her head than pure technique. It also had a great effect on our personal relationship, which means that there might be more SM beyond the one album, and I have written a lot of songs for this project over the years.

Excellent, looking forward to seeing those!

Btw, if you have tunning issues, there might be a couple of reasons.

If the strings are freshly put on, a good method is to tune up a strings, then bend it a lot (or just grab it and pull it away from the headstock, yank it a bit) and then tune up again. Then repeat the process until it stays in tune after the bending/pulling. It can take a while but the results are great, you don't have to wait for the strings to settle.

Also, it's a good idea to greese the grooves in the nut with a graphite pencil (the tradditional type) as sometimes strings get a bit jammed in there, which often causes tunning issues. It also helps avoid unwanted buzzing.

Lastly, having the guitar set up by a professional from time to time helps a great deal.

Hope that helps and sorry if these are all obvious points, I hope I didn't come across patronising.

While I'm still waiting for the artwork to be done for the now finished Glass Island album (hopefully out in early July), work is well underway on the Strange Moments album (finally!) With any luck, it should be out in November. Here's a little bit of footage of Joanna recording the vox for the song This Is Now:

A new single called All Out is now available on youtube. Check it out!

The album is virtually done, there just some very minor cosmetic stuff left to do. And we've just started working on th artwork but if all goes well, it'll be out by March.

Making use of a short break in recording the Glass Island album, I put down a new track with Asia Łukaszuk - a home-made acoustic cover of "You And Only You" by The Anchoress. It's our first recording in almost four years! Do check it out.

Thank you, you're too kind! I thought the riff sounds a bit awkward when played solo on the acoustic, but yeah, I guess it is a pretty decent versio indeed :)

I've just edited a video of the first (and so far only) live performance of the song Secular, which took place in February 2019 at an acoustic concert by Strange Moments - my other band. The name "Glass Island" hadn't been conceived yet but the material was already being created. Marzena Słowik is doing BVs.
