French is a much more widely spoken language than Dutch/Flemmish.

I've never worked (as a pupil AND as a teacher) in a school where Dutsh was taught.

In France, everybidy has to learn two foreign tongues : English, and, usually, Spanish or German.
More rarely, I've seen italian, Russian, Chinese.

Starting from 15 years old, some pupils can learn a third foreign tongue. But i've never seen other tongues that the ones I mentionned.

More tongues are taught in universities, but a very, very few students attend these courses.

I can speak a little Dutsh, since Arne played at teaching me on msn, but it is very rare here, though I don't live that far away from Belgium.

Truth and Bone chords are not weird. Heather forgot the chords and did what she could.

Maybe you would find them weird all the same, but not that kind of weird. .

Thanks very much, guys !

Indeed, no london Rain nore Heart And Shoulder, nice change (and no Motherland either, come to think of it) !

What does Heather say about Heavent Sent, apart that she was surprised it seems to be one of people's favourite song on South and she could never have guessed it ?

Edit : instead of flipping the video, maybe they filmed not Heather directly, but a mirror ?

That's what I meant, indeed. We heard the song for the 1st time during 2010 tour.

I liked this version very much, though I'm not fond of the album one.

Thanks.

I prefer by far the original version of Turn The Compass Round than the album version.

Well, it's too bad that you have to be on Facebook to make requests and stuff. I've seen Heather on stage 11 times, I think, and I would have asked her some request of songs I've never hear her play, for example.

It could have been great, but as I can't make requests (not beiong on Facebook), I finally don't pay attention to what's happening there and which songs are chosen.

Why does it has to be on Facebook ?

I don't have any facebook account, and i don't want to be part of Zuckerberg's world.

It's too bad.

Hi Laurent !

I'll put Stay and Until The Race Is Run online as soon as possible, with all 300 Days At Sea tabs in tab section.

(but the next two weeks will be really busy).

So, see you very late March or early April for the tabs !

There is so muck snow here today that all high school are closed. Same for tomorrow.

So, it's like holidays (except, of course, it's impossible to leave home, but I don't care).

I know.

I doubt Heather made many variations in the opening setlist : 1/2 is quite short for a show, so once she has played her 3 biggests signes (H&S, London Rain, WTW), the new albums's single (Higher Ground), one of the more radio-friendly songs from the new album (Beautiful Ride), there's no much space left for other songs.
I think she played Like Lovers Do at each opening, as a rememberance of the duet on South.

So, the only song that she may have changed at some shows is ALl I Need. But that's not sure, since All I Need is a song that Heather plays really often too.

Sorry, I can't help you. I supposed fom the beginning (and I was quite right) that the support act show would be full off Heather most radio-friendly songs, so I didn't search informations on these ones.

It was in the town I work, in the same place I played last year, aecept that this time, I was on the main stage (so, the very same stage Heather played).

I was involved in a show dedicated to a singer who had sung many times in that place and who died last year.

It went quite well. Well, everyone made a few mistakes, and so did I, but the audience enjoyed it very much, and so did I/we.

Frenche Hadopi law costed millions and only succeeded in ONE and only fine. Definitely useless.

Many French independant artists are against it, and have always been, btw. Those who support(ed ?) the law are the big ones, signed on big labels.
