They're trying to work out a gig in New York City, a guy in a Santa hat told me this morning.

look forward to see how they will get the rights for songs like "Heart and Shoulder" for their DVD, since Heather didn't manage to get them herself for her Live at Union Chapel DVD....

true, there's domestic violence and abuse during the holiday season and Heather wrote about that. But if this song represents "Christmas" for you, you must be a very troubled person anyway.

Your opinion...

yes, it is my opinion that if you pick a song that refers to a rape that happened during the holiday season as your 'favorite Christmas song', you must be a very sick person.

Bob Dylan, Joan Armatrading and Chris Isaak play in Amsterdam in April. Three great artists that influenced Heather.

Would you pay 10000 Euros for the ticket then? I hope not. It is way too much, and even the best Heather Nova concert isn't worth to spend 10000 Euros for it.

Wikipedia says in 1993 tickets for Barbra Streisand went for $1500. So why not 10000 Euros for Heather Nova? She is definitely ten times better than Streisand!

so there are people that pay 1500dollar for Streisdand, and others that never go to her shows. I guess the same for Heather Nova.

yeah, and in 1995 you could order a Spirit in You single on EIL for 20 quids, and buy a Heather Frith LP for 30 guilders. so what? the only reason prices are high is because 'collectors' raise the bids. and YOU ARE those collectors. what is the whole point of this discussion?

Heather is born in July 1967. If she graduated in 1983 she still had to have her 16 birthday?!?!?

I knew it. I wanted to help the person I really care for, but now I found out what I couldn't understand and he didn't want to say. You made my cry. You are filled with anger and you don't even know why. Be happy in your little world, we won't bother you anymore. And thank you for not letting us in.

I don't blame someone for that. I said it's "likely the fault of the ticket agencies" - after the bad surprises with Lucerne last year and Braunschweig and Leipzig in 2004. What do you think?

I think the fault is on Heather's management, that has never learned the right timing to use to send out news.

He means that they sell tickets, before a concert is confirmed. You have to agree that's not how it should be. I mean, it's likely the fault of the ticket agencies then, to sell tickets for a not-confirmed gig, but what do to as a fan? Wait till it is confirmed? Then you get a bad seat or it's even sold out already. Don't wait till it is confirmed? Then you buy it, but the gig is probably never confirmed, it is cancelled, and you are late to buy other tickets... The ideal, logic way is a) a concert is confirmed, b) tickets go on sale, not the other way round.

yes, but who's to blame for this 'illogic' way things are?

And about this forum and the importance of forums :

It's not normal that people had to read about the March gigs in Belgium on this site first, instead of at the official site. Even after people had gotten their tickets, they still weren't sure if the gigs were confirmed or not.

And what do you mean exactly by this?
