It seems like I'm not the only one that's disappointed… When I listen to it in my car, I Always skip songs and before I realise it, the album is over …

When Oyster was released (october 1994) I listened to it every evening for 3 years. I did skip WTW as I thought it was a rip off of Sheryl Crow's All I wann do …

I'm just saying I don't feel the need to listen to Pearl everyday now ...

Btw I guess the German people will understand the Volkskrant interview, it might be harder for the French and English speaking people

- The Volkskrant interview is the best and longest interview of Heather I've ever read. Funnily enough they keep mentioning Heather was born on the 6th of juli 1968, which is in my opinion, not correct, she was born in 1967.

- I had to buy the cd and lp separately. If you just buy the lp, I doubt there is a cd or a download link …

- I must get used to the new cd. It's definitely no second Oyster unlike what Heather says. Maybe in a few weeks I'll like it more, now I have mixed feelings about it

I've seen her live in Bremen last year and although it was 'good' we were sitting so far from the stage (seated gig) it was like watching tv, so I didn't really enjoy it

No, it's all 'I'm so in love, I'm so happy' or 'I love my son' … No pain, weltschmerz, sadness … but there are other bands for that

I got the cd yesterday and listened a few times to it. It definitely has a more rocking sound, a bit like Oyster. However, I'm not convinced yet, I find the lyrics too mellow, soft and without risk. No intensity. Well maybe I need to get used to it.

There is a signing session before the gig, in the nearby Fnac in Leuven. You might run the risk of missing the gig of the amazing Hydrogen Sea though …

Just bought one ticket. Internet Explorer seemed to struggle with the midzomer site, so I used Google Chrome. A tip for the other people …

It wouldn't surprise me Heather will play other gigs in Belgium or the Netherlands that week or weekend. Would be great

I was there as well (obviously) and it was one of the best concerts of Heather I've seen in years.

- Great location (Heather was impressed with the Belfort - obviously you don't get such old buildings in Bermuda)
- Great light and sound
- Not too many people (500)
- Very respectfull crowd, very quiet.
- Drinking wasn't allowed during the gig so you didn't hear any glasses fall. I didn't even see any people smoking although it was outside
- The weather was great : dry, not too warm nor too cold
- Not a lot of people filming the concert with their phone
- The concert lasted 100 minutes, not too short but not too long either
- But above all : a great mix of old and new songs, albumsongs and classics (but not soo many it became a best of)
- Heather and Arnulf were in a good mood
- And off course lots of nice people in the public of which a lot of familiar faces

Can't wait for Rotterdam

Off course it's great for the people who never saw Heather in 1994-1996 (I was 25 in 1994 and saw her for the first time on 16/12/1994). Off course I loved the current tour too.

I've seen Heather 3x live on this tour and just downloaded (bought) the Heerlen recordings. I must say that on the actual Oyster tour (1994-1996), the songs were more intense. Compare the current recordings to Live from the Milky Way for instance. Now Heather is more emphasizing on her voice and not on the music. Well maybe I'm wrong, and I'm romanticising the old gigs. But off course it was great ! And nice to hear Blind for the first time live. What do you guys think ?

I'm going to Heerlen and Sint Niklaas.

Leuven and Berlin sound tempting too

I wonder why the tickets in Germany cost 45 euro and in Belgium only 27 !

I'm sure it's a rocking show and standing places.

I guess she'll play Oyster entirely and in the running order from the cd and after that some classics and new songs.

Flashback to 1994 when I saw Heather for the first time live !

It was semi-acoustic, Shaye O Brighton (?) was playing drums on some songs.

It was an amazing gig !

The sound was very clean, clear and pure. Heathers voice was very upfront.

The crowd was very quiet in the beginning (which was good).

The last encore was the Bowie cover

Didier has the setlist

It was an amazing gig as usual, and worth the long ride

I wouldn't say it hit me like a death in the family, but he was an 'important' person. A living legend ...

He's in the same league as Lou Reed, Jim Morisson, Ian Curtis, Iggy Pop, Bryan Ferry ...

You don't get artists that have a 45 year career anymore.

I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan but I liked his music and above all his music was very influential on a lot of 80ies New Wave bands.

Didier and I went to see Heather in Bataclan in 2011. Arrived just in time for the meet and greet.

It's not really a big venue, very strange...

I heard the news Friday evening and was devastated.

It could happen everywhere (also in Brussels), and we aren't safe anymore.

This is not just Syria, Egypt and Israel anymore, but very close to home !!!!

The terrorists lived in Brussels

I don't know what it's like in other countries but the indoor concert season in Belgium is like october to may.

In summer artists play on festivals.

I guess there is not a lot of demand for Heather on festivals and it's better to play indoors for real fans and to do more gigs.

I've removed the pics I made in Ab from Flickr, because Heather asked me to (she didn't find them flattering).

I thought they were ok, but her wish is my command.

Thanks Geert for the movies !

The light was a lot worse than a day before in Utrecht
