Like you said it's only Heather, Arnulff and a drummer ... I guess it doesn't work for all songs ? I guess it will be pretty similar to the Genk gig I saw (and didn't like that much, but maybe it was because it was too big and not real fans there).

I can mail them, they are etickets.

As I have a photopass and my friend C can't make it, I have 2 spare tickets.

Other people who like her ?

I'm not an expert but I like her self titled 1996 (!) album.

Going to see her live in Berlin on the 10th of october.

This time I didn't have a photopass and had to take pics from the audience, so not perfect circumstances. The stage was high as well.

And when using my 2x teleconvertor, I have to raise my Iso to get enough light (2 stops less). And I have to raise my Iso again as I need shorter shutterspeeds due to the longer focal distance. But I'm pleased with some.

All made with 70-200 mm and 2x convertor hence the poor quality

Actually I was pleased not to heart WTW and London Rain for the 100th time live .

And actually Someone New is Heather biggest or best known hit single, not WTW.

Yes, but I still prefer het in a nice indoor venue, and the crowd only fans. But it was ok.

In a way I got the impression someone else was playing and covering Heathers songs, don't know why, maybe because we were so far from the stage, or maybe because Berit wasn't there.

So, a bit of mixed feelings, but it was great.

I have some mixed feelings about it. Most of the time it was just Heather and Arnulff playing (sometimes there was this choir or a drummer though), which isn't the best line up for a big, free festival where most people don't know her music.

Still, it was great !

Does anybody (Gerd) have a setlist ? I was taking pics, so I couldn't write down the setlist.

"Anyone going besides Johan and maybe Gerd?"

Yes, 50.000 drunk local youths who celebrate the start of the school holidays

No, I believe/hope Geert, Ron and Didier will also be there

I still find it a pity I only like 3 songs of the 12 songs, or 5 of the 14 songs if you include the 2 bonus tracks.

Off Oyster I liked all songs (apart from WTW). Off Glow Stars I liked every single song ...

*fans are the worst critics*

After 4 years I had hoped for more

Who's Ima P ?

Maybe the album isn't as shallow and happy as I first thought, but I'm in my Swans/Joy Division stage right now .

Maybe I need to listen more to it.

On the other hand, there is not a lot of change compared to older albums

Cass: off course I know Sugar and love it, but it's more than 20 years old. Nowadays Heathers songs seem more shallow, superficial, happy, soft etc (but I still like her and not just for the old songs)

Rero : I didn't get a confirmation for the Brussels meet and greet yet, but it's the only time I could do it

I won't say I don't like it, it's just that after 4 years of waiting I had hoped for 'more'.

I don't even like half of the album, whereas on Glowstars or Oyster or Siren I like all songs (apart from 1 song per album).

I got the cd. I have mixed feelings about it. Off course it's good, beautiful voice, well produced etc, but it's very soft, sweet, innocent and above all harmless. No 'wires', all about nature, how great life is etc ...

Maybe Heather has had a good youth and no real problems, but it's not music about real life.

I'm a huge fan of Swans as well, and this guy has run away from home when he was 15, was sent to jail at that age, got raped etc. Now he's 61 and his music is still very intense, probably because he's been through so much ...

From the new Heather album I only like the songs I've already heard live last year (and the bonus track). Maybe Heather knows which are her best songs and that's why she played them live.

Ancienne Belgique is not really suited for acoustic or solo gigs, unless they put chairs there (which I doubt).
