Just got home from work to see that there are no more tickets available . I'm sure she will tour other venues around the same time … Wish me luck

A new concert for Heather, next year but sales start today at 20 o clock. If all goes well, I'll be there.

Today I got another reply saying the gig is cancelled and not postponed to another date. So no Heather gig in CC Evergem in 2021 … They also told me the presales hadn't started yet, so they don't have to refund anybody.

Actually, I fear we won't see any 'traditional' indoor gigs in Belgium anymore this year. Maybe concerts for 100 people, sitting at tables and wearing masks, but who wants to go to a concert like that ?

And on top of that some artists might fear coming (flying) to Belgium, or once they got here, are not allowed to go back home …

Like Moerie said, the past week things have gotten very bad again with Covid, just as bad as in the beginning (march). Take care all of you

I really hope these concerts will take place due to Corona. And I doubt foreigners are allowed to travel to the Netherlands ...

Ok, but how can we get what we paid for ? I haven't been to the Turnhout gig and I don't really need it (well the 2 Glow Stars songs are great obviously), I need the Ghent gig

Well, we all know Felix is not in the picture anymore.

I love the Turnhout gig (which I skipped last minute), especially Spirit in you but I NEED the Ghent gig for reasons mentioned above

I just bought and downloaded the Ghent gig (or so I thought), as it has a special meaning to me (my 50th birthday), but I got the impression I got the recording of Turnhout gig the day before, and so says my ITunes and if I check the setlists here on this site. I also heard other songs in the end in Ghent !

I'm pretty sure I clicked on the Ghent gig though !

Can somebody help me ?

About the pics : I can't remember the light was so orange. Maybe Bjorn choose the wrong color temperature or he doesn't know (yet) how to use the HSL-sliders in Lightroom.

Anyway : it was my 50th birthday that day, and Heather wrote 'happy birthday' on my cd. I told her she doesn't look 50 either, more like 35, and off course she liked that comment. More than my comment I made in Leuven that I didn't like the new cd (yet) .

So, now waiting for a year (or more) for a new tour ?

Apparantly, when driving from Brussels (talkshow) to Hasselt, their tourbus got problems and they had to rush to get in Hasselt in time.

On the talkshow it struck me that Heather looked tired.

She's had a pretty busy schedule

Does anybody here like Nick Cave ? I do. I've seen him a few times live and it's Always magic.

His new cd Ghosteen, is his saddest album ever, and so beautiful !

Going to see him in Bremen and Antwerp next year

That day I'll be 50 years old. The funny thing is I got Oyster for my 25th birthday (but I already owned Glow Stars and Blow mid 1994), so I've been a fan of Heather Nova for half of my life or more. Seen her live for the first time on Friday the 16th of december 1994.

Anyway : it would be nice if Heather sung 'Grow Young' in Ghent and mentioned my name (hint hint ) .

Next sunday, Heather will be on the national public tv station 1 in Belgium, during the show 'de Zevende Dag'.

I guess she will sing a song there and maybe do a small interview ?

My recorder is all set !

I just got the new Lana Del Rey cd and I'm already addicted to it ! What a difference to Pearl, I have to force myself to listen to it and still don't like it... I listened to Oyster from 1994 to 1996 every evening, what a difference, too sad.

I just got the new Lana Del Rey cd. Although it's very similar to her previous work, I like it a lot, contrary to Heathers new cd, where I always skip the songs and it's over before I know !

I could listen to the new Lana Del Rey cd for hours ! Hopefully she'll do a gig in Belgium in februari 2020

I have to agree with 57Arietis. Pearl is definitely not a second Oyster, despite the same sound on some songs. It's all soft, cheesy, mellow …

South might be overproduced but I love most songs on them.

To me Pearl is in the same league as Yasmine Flower, 300 days at sea etc. I hope I will change my mind by listening more often to those songs but I don't …

I listen to it, and skip song after song, hoping for a great song but before I know it, the cd is over ...

quote from Rainman "I agree Pearl is not Oyster II but I wasn't expecting it anyway, and when Heather is hinting it, she can only disappoint people expecting it.
Guess what ? There will never be another Oyster. Because 25 years passed, because Heather has changed, because we have changed.
Whatever quality of the songs Heather can release now, we know her, we know her voice, her melody style, her lyrics tricks... For any artist that has such a long career, there's inevitable loss of what makes the first albums unique for people who loved them at that time : the freshness, the novelty, the energy of youth, the background of 25 years of life put in 10 songs.

When people says they want another Oyster, more than a lyric, a melody, a sound, what they want back is the first emotion they had listening to the songs and Heather for the first time. They want the first kiss sweetness. They want their youth back. And that will never happen."

That's so true, I couldn't have said it better. I still remember seeing Heather live the first time, Club Paficic Antwerp, 16/12/1994. I know what the weather was like (cold), what I wore (red jeans, black pullover, black leather jacket) and the gig was 1000x better than what I had expected and it has changed my life ! I must have seen Heather 100x live since then and although it's always 'good' or 'amazing', I never got that feeling of the first time back

Unfortunately I still don't like most of the songs... I skip them to hear the next one and before I know, the cd is over … It's definitely not Oyster II (I'd call Siren, Oyster II), more like Yasmine or 300 days.

Maybe hearing the songs live changes my mind
